Best out of box accurate 6.5prc?

At 200 yards holes touching. I’d say it’s better than 1/2 MOA. But what do I know. I’m Joe six pack not even a rifle guy. Don’t own a set of cAliPErs.

Best out of box accurate 6.5prc?

For me was a fierce edge from cabelas. It shoots 1/4 MOA.

The original victory rip is really dang good

I’ve seen great results from testing on the V3 I wouldn’t have any issue shooting them. The standard 60gr stainless is decent. Most builds I have people wanting HIT with collars still, but several guys use the 60gr stainless and have done better than I would have expected.

What’s your back country bow weight

PSE Xpedite NXT, tight spot 7 arrow, 7 victory RIP SS, 125gr heads, hogg father double pin, 15” front with 6oz and 10 degree down, bowfinger back bar mount and 12” with 3 ounces, hamskea trinity rest, handles raptor peep. Didn’t weigh it until recently as was just curious. I use whatever...

    Arrow Build

Id go with a 250 spine RIP TKO or SS. Use a standard or aluminum hit insert along with a titanium collar and 100gr head. That arrow setup is the most durable I’ve seen. As others have noted I’d cut your arrow shorter as well. Im 29.5” draw with 27.5” arrows. Here’s a picture of my elk arrow...

If a guy had a $3,000 budget for a hunting rifle and scope

What was negative? I told you leupold was the best as Cameron Hanes says so on every video he posts multiple times per week thanking them for contributing to his success in the field. That is just stating a fact. I contributed what I could and confirmed all scope options I know to have...

If a guy had a $3,000 budget for a hunting rifle and scope

Leupold is the best. Thats why Cameron hanes has been “using leupold optics for years.” Only because they are the best even though we’ve seen him with vortex in recent years as well. They have also tested the best here in drop tests so gold ring is the choice of scope for this rifle! Glad it’s...

Yes trijicon, Leica, Zeiss, and nightforce have discounts for military.

    Ethics Archery lighted nocks

For sure an extreme outlier on DL and arrow length. That happens when you’re 6’6” or however tall he is.

    Ethics Archery lighted nocks

Agree on following the money. There’s less money in archery than people think. Most will do it for free product alone. That’s why I mentioned I have friends who are killers that use them. I’d have to ask for a count but the guys I personally know typically kill 50+ animals a year with a bow with...

    Ethics Archery lighted nocks

Agreed on the thorn. However he’s one of the GOATs in archery. That guy can shoot so I’ll listen when he’s talking arrow flight and accuracy. Also a guy who will help anyone who asks any questions. In general I’m not a fan of Easton nocks. Work for hunting standard X nock, but I like the...

    Ethics Archery lighted nocks

I have not used either but most have said this halo nock is outstanding (personal friends who kill a lot and Tim Gillingham/Snyder have tested it). I use AAE IP nocks for everything.

    Wind drift

In my shooting experience very few archers (less than 1%) can shoot the wind drift difference in 5mm to 4mm. 1.87” at 60 yards is not a significant number when most people are not even shooting a 6” group at 60 yards per the old rule 1” per 10 yards. The components are more durable for 5mm...

    Ethics Archery lighted nocks

Halo nocks are not made by ethics but are regarded as one if not the best lighted nock out right now.

Alpha x 33 too heavy for backcountry hunt?

Take what you shoot well. My hunting bow is 10+ lbs with a full quiver and I don’t care. I don’t get tired from carrying my bow. I’ve been back to back rifle seasons with buddies no tag or rifle for me and it felt the exact same as archery when I have the tag and weapon.

The original victory rip is really dang good

You can still use an Easton hit and podium TI collar on a standard rip for cheaper than TKO shafts. Thats what I have built several buddies who wanted the durability but not to spend TKO money on shafts alone.

    2nd rifle season bugle?

I’ve only been 2nd rifle the last two years and have heard 0 bugles. I would leave the calls at the truck. That said I keep my diaphragms in my bino harness year round anyways so could cow call if needed but have not seen the need to. As said above most public land elk in Colorado are very call...

    6.5 PRC suggestions

I have a fierce got on sale from bass pro for $1400 and it shoots lights out completely stock. Here was first day at range zeroing at 200 yards. Thats 4 rounds in final spot. Hit many steel plates out to 1,000 so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
