I fashioned a sled out of 2 big black yard trash bags to get out a WY mulie a number of years ago in ass deep snow in the Bighorns on my own. Worked great in the deep snow.
8mm Mauser is available. I have an old Model 98 and was able to find a couple boxes (don't remember which site) and some brass from a guy on another forum.
I agree. The flat roll up versions don't work very well. I use a plastic kids sled similar to the second one you posted and it works very well. I keep one at my place in MO to haul out whitetail carcasses, either whole or halved.
In WA here, an OIL will get drawn by maybe 1% of all people in their lives, if that. I have 20+ points now in sheep and moose and others such as quality elk and will most likely never draw. Quality elk is pretty much OIL, but not advertised as it. And tags keep declining. But I keep donating...
Glad this turned out OK. I carry an old CD as the back of it makes a great mirror. Plus an Inreach and other devices. I'm extra cautious, especially when on my own now that I'm elderly.
Anybody who answers Sage Grouse must have a seriously bad case of Covid. I would seek help. We tried to eat one my brother shot in MT and it tasted like, well, something I've never tasted before as I've never eaten dog turds.
