Brand new with tags, never worn other than to try on. Bought this to test the fit, meant to exchange for smaller size but never got around to it. My loss is your gain.
Asking 275$ TYD
Size L
-Put small dabs of silicone on the side that seems to be too slippery
-strips of single sided anti-slip rug tape
-Slide extra shirts around pad as if it was wearing your t-shirt, just like you would put a pillow case on a pillow
This year will be my first sheep hunt and I'm walking in as well but going solo, so take what I add with a grain of salt...
-swap the kifaru bag for a much lighter down bag/quilt
-get a lighter pad, pretty easy to shave off almost a half pound just from that. Are you using the rectangle xtherm...
I wouldn't hesitate to wear them where I'm hunting in situations of 20 yards and closer. The preacher's IMO are similar to a soft shell pant with their weight but and similar DWR outer but without the noisy outer shell. Hopefully that makes sense.
This waist thing was/is my experience. I went up a waist size so that they weren't skinny jean tight on my thighs. I feel naked without a belt no matter what I'm wearing so having to wear a belt to sort of cinch the waist down isn't a huge factor for me but is something to note for anybody who...
Good to see you’re doing well Dan! Jump on the opportunity you’ve come across, you won’t regret it no matter the outcome. Shoot me a PM if you have more pointed questions as I don’t mind helping out a fellow native Texan.
Shoot SGK soft points in my .223 to my .338. Been a fan of them for a very long time. My grandfather used them for years, my dad has, and so have I. Countless game has fallen to them with zero complaints. Only rifle I don’t shoot the GK’s out of is my 7mm but that’s only cause I shoot a high BC...
We take all our camping gear, food, and whatever other supplies besides personal gear in 3 Sea to Summit hydraulic dry packs. They’re heavy duty (600D waterproof TPU) roll top dry bags that have shoulder straps and hip belts that adjust from 35-120L. 100% waterproof and submersible. Makes...
Msr windburner is the only other one I have experience with. I would say it’s more efficient, but I have put a timer to the petrel and I don’t know that I will. For the price and the weight, it’s about as good as you’re going to get without making a custom pot IMO unless you find one of the...
Listening to some podcasts of ultralight backpackers, many of them recommended the msr pocket rocket deluxe and soto wind master as the most efficient stoves for use away from a controlled environment.
I was hoping they would get into pots but never did. Currently I use a pocket rocket deluxe...
I'll be going through Fairbanks on my way there around that time frame and if nobody takes you up on it I might be interested in buying a few things from you depending on what you have.
Do away with UW LO tags, move those tags over to the general pool.
Property w/ LO tags make similar to the UW tags in where public can access the property whether that's for a small fee or tax incentive.
I have mixed emotions on outfitters being able to purchase LO tags. Not just NM but all...
Sven saw. Absolutely love the couple that I have. IMO better than silky and Wyoming saws. Lighter, more compact when folded, and longer blades allowing for longer strokes.
They’re a small company so not very popular.

-Went to a lighter glassing tripod (sirui traveller & tricer head)
-goat knives tur
-grakksaw game bags
-hiking food/nutrition
Ultimate goal is to get lighter which I’ve made some strides with. Biggest improvement will be with food menu for extended trips and not having to carry a heavy bag of...
