This. If youre going to use a CDS or any companies ballistic comp dials you can only really expect good performance in 2-3K bands of elevation. The good news is you can buy multiples and swap out as needed.
Yah I believe there is a letter floating around from CO F&G stating BDX is fine as well. Obviously that was a while ago and they can/do change their interruptions on things. The verbiage in the regs hasnt changed though.
I am not doubting you have been told that about Leupold LRFs but I can tell you that is 100% incorrect information. Leupold makes their riflescopes in Beaverton but the vast majority of their observation products are imported. Both the LRFs you referenced were made in China.
I always take at least a partial roll of electrical tape with me. Orange color is a bonus there. I also bring a wad of folded duct tape for various things (blisters mostly). Most other items have been covered.
