Just ordered a prefit for a 22GT
Alpha makes brass for it. Hoping for 80-88s around 3000
Some guys using it for PRS. A bunch for yotes. Comparable to the 22 creed. A touch slower
I hunt idaho as a NR. I feel bad for hunting out of state at times but the opportunity in other states seems to be better than my state (UT).
I can go to Idaho or Colorado and see twice the number of deer and half the hunters that I do here. Or overall buck quality is just better...
I have a 20” 6.5x284 which is basically a 6.5 PRC of old. Up for sale now but similar to the PRC
Was getting 2900 with 140s during barrel break in so I would imagine that would increase a tad.
From my reading the 284 was maybe 100-50 fps slower than the PRC so, like was mentioned above you...
Selling my browning X Bolt chambered in 7 Rem Mag. Exactly 10 rounds down to tube. Been sitting in the safe and just haven’t shot it much. Hence time to sell
This is built to shoot heavies with the 1:8 twist (will shoot lighter class bullets great as well).
Browning X Bolt action w 20 moa rail...
i wash all my stuff at the end of the year and sometimes before then if it’s been a long hunt.
All of mine is stored in the house in a guest bedroom so I prefer to have it all as clean as possible while storing.
Personal preference thing. Some may have 15 year old hunting clothes with blood...
Custom Tikka T3X in 6.5-284. Chambered and trued by Preece precision in utah. When he trues the receiver he takes some material off the front, so full disclosure this will no longer take tikka prefits.
Bolt is an LRI bolt. Fluted, M16 extractor, sterk handle. Long action bolt stop.
Proof...
lol sorry just have had good experience with those after using cheaper scopes for many years.
I love good glass and I feel it makes the shooting experience better so I always recommend the best you can afford.
ZCO, Kahles, TT would all be high end, which is why I said they were kind of a mid...
Could you do both? I always find seam sealing to be difficult when the tent is set up. It becomes messy and just takes way too long. But if you’re able to treat everything before you put it together, that sounds like the way to go.
I had a Mesa precision that was right at 28 OZ. Probably something out there slightly lighter but I liked it a lot. Had a vertical grip though.
I would check out manners options for a tikka. They may have one without a vertical grip.
