Yeah it fits your needs or it doesn't. At 300 yards its still doing fine if it starts at 2600 fps and thats several times farther out than woods range :)
Don't care beyond that at all. Someone else may.
Thats why I said for me, and didn't speak for everyone.
If anyone has used these bullets, would love to know what you think of one vs the other....is there any real advantage to the 6.5mm heavier bullet on game bigger than whitetail, like say moose inside 300 yards?
Asking because this site has changed my mind quite a bit on bullet...
I get it but it entirely discounts the point of a forum, and puts every user at the same level of "everything they say is suspect".
Not that I'm against "try it for yourself and find out is best" in any way at all, it does just seem like there are certain things said by certain people that can...
Only yours, though? Since every other personal experience here is on the internet?
I mean I can agree with that to a degree, but once the same thing is repeated enough by people who would know, the odds of it being a thing become kinda higher...
Never thought something as simple as driving in a truck would throw off a rifle scope's zero, but here we are haha. Wow.
The benefit of actually liking the Trijicon scopes is a great one in and of itself, besides not worrying about probability of stuff puking.

If you have a SWFA 6x42 that you wouldn't mind parting with and shipping to Canada (I'll gladly cover whatever that costs) please let me know. Would prefer mil version but not gonna complain about moa either.
Thanks!!
After doing a lot of reading on the forum, I thought it would be interesting to ask what/how have rifles actually failed you guys in field use? What were they and what happened?
There are a lot of great info in terms of scopes and their testing but really curious about experiences with rifles...
Didn't want to hijack an existing thread for this one and drag it away from OPs concerns.
So we know and see for sure that smaller bore rifles can be deceiving deadly with heavy for caliber bullets like the TMK etc. And we know that mono/non lead bullets (except a few in particular) do not...
That would be dang nice.
Not as fancy but really like the way the New Haven made Classic Sporters handle compared to the SGs. Still a heavy enough rifle but nicer to me.
One would think, right? That's a great counter to the fact that we're getting awfully close to "let's just reject any paper we don't like because it MUST be false, just look at the source!" territory. Well, maybe and maybe not. To reject anything as out of hand without going over methodology...
I've spent a lot of time shooting deer with 30-06s and 308s before moving to smaller, and the only "bang-flops" I've consistently seen were CNS hits like high shoulder.
When you see spike bucks run almost 100 yards leaving big ol blood trails, pieces of bone floating in puddles and have a...
