Im glad Citizens United was brought up... It single handedly defeats many of the arguments lobbed about Conservatives being so pro constitution and liberals being the devil incarnate.
They both suck, in their own ways. Yay for moderates!
Unfortunately the current court is very political, and...
Thanks Ryan. Is this the wood stove you have?
Cylinder Stove: Alpine Heavy Duty | Camp Chef
I don't see a floor liner offered. Does that go inside the tent or are you referring to a ground cloth?
Did you buy the additional roof protector for the stove?
Thanks bud. Maybe I should start a thread just on the stoves, because that was my main question.
I am surprised that nobody here has run one of these, but the reviews are stellar so I am sure the tent itself will be fine.
My Arcteryx Cerium LT is 10 oz vs the jackets in the mid 20's mentioned here, and can be had for 250 on sale pretty easily if I recall. I paid ~180 last yr when they were changing colors.
For a puffy, I couldnt care less about camo as long as its not a color that sticks out to an ungulate...
If price is a concern, you can pickup a used Quarter Dome 2 for 150-170 all day long. Just wait for on on Craigslist or ebay.
They are a great tent, I have a 3 person.
BA is great too, obviously. I'd probably get a Copper Spur though.
Don't over think it, just get what you get a better...
I ended up buying an Arcteryx Brize 25.
It won't be a sexy pick on this forum, but its everything I was looking for from one of the hunting pack manufacturers we all love, and only 100 bucks on sale.
I'll report back with functionality after I get to use it.
Its all about materials, so as long as the materials and fit are great I don't care about the name.
I have a bunch of Sitka and Kuiu stuff, I cant really get into First Lite because I swim in it fit-wise.
To me, it really comes down to this: It's asinine that I have to pay 150%-300% of an...
I did a search but only found one thread.
Anyone run these?
I just picked one up barely used with the vestibule and was hoping to hear some feedback, as well as what stoves people have used.
Thanks.
I love the idea of this pack over the Urban Ruck because I think it would work better for glassing/photography than the Urban Ruck and still be pretty usable for traveling. That being said, 1000 ci isnt going to cut it for me on the next bag I pick up for this dual purpose.
Anyone chat with...
Been doing some more reading... anyone have an opinion on the Urban Ruck vs the Door Gunner for a multi use pack?
-Traveling (14" laptop, misc stuff, etc)
-Pack for glassing/photography (85mm spotter, tripod, full frame DSLR + 300mm lens)
I feel like a door gunner ~1500ci would be the shit...
Bumping this thread...
I am pretty impressed with what Kifaru is doing for this market right now. A combination between an Antero and a Quandry seems like it would be perfect, but maybe that is basically an Urban Ruck and I am missing it.
The MR offerings also look pretty good, but its a PITA...
Haha. As true as this is at this point I'm over buying bags.
A lot of other stuff I'm still willing to buy more junk than I need, but 300-400 dollar bags that will most likely change SLIGHTLY next yr is off the list, lol.
I don't like hunting the Adirondacks, and I was not referring to them. There's tons of state land in the northeast.
I live in AZ.
And I recommended that people hunt the midwest over the Northeast 5-10 posts ago.
Im loling at "epic fail" over here.
Ive never seen this complaint before, but you don't like the belt and now its a huge design flaw.
I have no issues with the belt. I appreciate that it does not slip, like most other designs.
I skimmed the thread, sorry if you have already made your decision OP, but as to your original question I think this is the best answer I saw.
Kifaru and SG are both very versatile, but in different ways. I ended up staying with SG and wouldn't have it any other way, for how *I* like to use my...
Thanks OP.
I am trying to decide between this and Leica 2000b.
I am looking for one LRF for long range shooting and bow hunting. I actually prefer this, but I am concerned for bow hunting it wont work well because of the size.
