Looks like I drew the Kaibab archery tag as well. Congrats OP.
I'm a resident but unfortunately just started a new job so I don't have time to go up there and scout much before the season. Thanks for the tips posted in here guys, any additional info would be great.
Very true about the Pentax fixed EP, on both accounts. That being said, I also have read a lot of complaints about the overall quality of the Pentax zoom EP, when taken by itself. I was very close to buying one myself, but the price for those scopes used doesn't make a ton of sense IMO when...
I check out a Veracity today I was going to buy for a hunting gun, and it had very noticeable Chromatic Aberration. This was inside if fairly un-harsh light.
Has anyone noticed this with the XTR?
Hunters seem to like that Pentax, but birders do not share the opinion. Especially any of the Pentax variable eyepieces, they have especially poor reviews with birders.
Nice review OP. I bought a Regal M2 from a member here and I have since compared it to the Vanguard and I think the Regal M2...
This is the only major news source that I have seen that is committing to ongoing coverage on the fight over public lands. Hats off to The Guardian.

Hey guys, looking to expand my possible hunting areas for the OTC archery hunt. I will be scouting 7E, 8 and 10 to help some buddies on their Elk hunts this year. I'd love to hone in on some areas around Sedona/Flagstaff (even if they arent in those units) to hunt for the Aug 25 - Sept 14th...
Thanks for the additional feedback guys!
Could be because I have a small CF tripod that ends up being top heavy, but both times I had the bag out (again, in bivy mode) the straps loosened up on me more than I was comfortable with. I should note, its not all the straps, just the ones over the...
Hey, how does it work for you guys sitting around the stove? Any opinion on how many people it could fit in that situation?
I want to be able to sit in backpacking chairs around the fire in the shelter I end up with.
Just wanted to give a mini review... not that others here haven't done better (such as Justin), but we are all gear heads and I am sure other people are as pedantic as me and hopefully my opinions can help someone else.
What was most important to me and what hit me first when I got the bag was...
I just called them today, they said 2-4 weeks, just like the site says.
I am heavily leaning towards picking up a 40 degree long wide. Should be great for the summers here in AZ and then I can team it with my normal 3 season bag to get my down into 0 degree weather or so, hence why I am...
Cmon man, thats not what I'm saying and thats not how I read your complaint. In that scenario it sounds like you went back and forth, the item shouldn't be sold out from under you. That being said, I think it would be polite of you to pay that night when you get the PM accepting the offer and...
Im not surprised. Thats what I've always read (regarding WM). I think my bag lines up more, spec wise, with a 30 degree WM bag than a 20 degree.
For me, my bag is good until the high 20s, not 19 degrees.
Totally understand.
As you said, communication is the key, I went on to say that in the post you quoted. When you PM someone you tell them you cant paypal until after work. Therefore the seller knows whats going on.
In a way, its just being courteous but it goes a long way, IMO.
