Yeah rattlesnakes are definitely a big question mark for me. On a 10 day hunt, how many would you guess I'd see around 8-9k feet?
Interesting, I don't know that I've heard of anyone who found solo more successful. Do you have any tips that have helped you?
Thanks! I'll do that

Yeah I'll be staying up in higher elevations to avoid the heat for sure, I'm not built for that type of weather. Even 90 here in the Northeast is brutal for me, especially when the humidity kicks in.
Thanks man, helps to hear. Headed to eastern AZ (avoiding unit names per the rules, but basically the two most popular ones outside of metro areas) for Mule Deer but would take a Coues if I happened across one
Yeah, unfortunately don't know anyone who has a tag out there. My buddies where I'm from aren't serious hunters
Thanks guys, made sure to get some snake gaiters but will have to watch my hands for sure.
Slick, I like that magnesium stuff too. I take it with a Zinc pill since they are supposed...
Good idea, I hadn't thought of sleeping pills. Bears I'm used to but mountain lions still give me the creeps. The units I'll be in have a ton - I know they are very unlikely to pose a real danger, but knowing at one point or another I'll likely be watched by one makes my skin crawl
Hi everyone, I'll be doing my first trip out to AZ in a few weeks. I've been planning for months and think I have a pretty good idea of what to expect, but obviously won't know until I get there. I camped on and off again when I was younger, but always at established sites and with a cooler...
Hey guys, wanted to extend an invite to anyone hunting in the White Mountains during early archery season this year. This is my first trip, so I'll be learning as I go, but if any other newbies want to come along happy to set up camp
Selling this scope after using it for a day. Great scope and super clear, but realized that it was overkill for 100 yards and the only true long range spot was way too far to visit regularly. Happy to throw in the sunshade and Butler Creek caps for free.
The Burris XTR Signature rings are sold...
Thanks man, part of it frankly has been me being a shitty seller (work keeps messing things up and I respond too late to inquiries). That's why I dropped the price so low - figured its only fair if I'm unable to respond timely
One of them had family in Tuscon, so we were going to give 32 a shot. Now that I'll be camping, open to anything that's consistently under 95 degrees, although ideally around 85. Never hunted in that type of heat before and don't want my first trip out West to get ruined cuz I got heat stroke or...
Probably not, but depends on temps in the area. Coming from out East, pretty sure I'd be using my inReach a ton in 110 degree weather and rack up quite a debt
