Funny, my hunting partner, lives and dies by 300 wsm or 300 win mag. Will not shoot anything else, when I bring up 6m and 6.5's all I get is blasted about how they are not adequate, BUT if I want to shoot a 6.5 then I should get a .264 Win Mag, "now those things anchor deer"....Im like huh? have...
I dont know why it wouldnt work. From my understanding of chasing the shot gun slug world ( where I hunt in TN is at Ft Campbell, and its shotgun/ML only) so I have gone through a bunch of a different slugs, shotguns etc lol but in the Rem Accutips the 12 ga is a 58 caliber bullet and the 20 ga...
So in the modern CRF world, what companies are left or have models to chose from? Besides the pre 64 Win 70’s, ya have Ruger M77, Sako 85, Kimber, any other models worth looking for in pawn shops? No way this ol dog can buy a 10k rifle lol I have a SWMBO watching my every move at the house lol...

I know my son and I already have been issued our 2024 Sportsman license...our license now go from date of purchase...
I know I am simple minded, but I learned years ago when I started hunting and shooting 45 years ago, I could shoot a 308 fmj through a pumpkin but my 12 ga copper solid would make it explode. One was designed to not open, and one was. One had high velocity with high muzzle energy, and one was...
There is a video Texas plinking just did with an Arken 44mm and he made the comment the parallel knob was making a clicking sound like the turrets….maybe the model you have ? Hope I remembered right lol 😂
With any of them, ups, usps, fedex, paypal, ebay.....I use rabbit food.....Had one guy ask why are you insuring rabbit food for 1000$? I said, its expensive rabbit food duh and it comes in a rectangle feeder trough..... no more questions. I used baseball bat for a long time as well lol course...
30-30 on Elk
Ive been searching the net trying to decide on bullets, calibers, etc cause I want a new toy and found this video....kind of goes along with all the threads on here for the 223, 6mm etc. Guy does a very good job testing a 30-30 with numerous different bullets and loadings, but...
Ive been looking at the Crimson Trace Slugger. The scope has I think 5" of eye relief. You sight it in at 50 then the bdc is supposedly accurate out to 200 yards. But it is a 3x9x40 with no illumination. The illumination is what led me to try my lpvo, but then I realized at dusk it sucked and...
Most LPVO's will have too short an eye relief for a 12 ga slug, Ive never been scoped, but came close. Went back with a 2x7x32.....We have some shotgun only areas here in Tenn at Ft Campbell. Rest of the state you can use pretty much anything lol. Good luck
LOL thanks for the info, hopefully I will have a slow day at work tomorrow and can use the ol googlenator and look up the WMA's. Hopefully there will be one near her. Thanks again!
Glad someone asked a question about Alabama. Our daughter and son in law live in Adamsville, West of Birmingham. Is there any public land for me (Tennessean) that can I come down and hunt within a half hour or so of where she lives, and are the requirements hard for an out of state person to...
Just saw these on Bass Pros website, and they list the same thing. The 7PRC only ships now with the MDT..... "Compatible with AICS magazines. Includes 1 Magpul® magazine. 7mm PRC ships with metal MDT magazine." So yes I would call if you havent, ya may get some free mags out of it.
Hornday 6.5PRC VS 7 PRC VS 300 PRC Great discussion as I am trying to decide between all the PRC's, and this morning Hornady put a video up describing all 3 of them, their merits, and what each one was designed for etc. Pretty good video. What was interesting to me, they mentioned if you were...
You could get a Rem 870, get a Mesa Tactical adapter for a collapsible stock, which would almost be as short as a folder collapsed, in fact with the Mesa Adapter I think you can put a folding adapter on it for a standard ar15 buffer tube, get ya a Carlson 18.5" barrel that takes Rem chokes and...
I am so sorry for not responding, dont know how I missed this, but I just stumbled upon it. Here is a link to the Vortex videos if you have not found it by now. Again my apologies.:
