Unfortunately my kiddos don't care if I'm sick for it. Haha I'd invite them, but we kinda make that a 5 day bender with the buddies, and cut loose a little.
Oh yeah I remember that little rabbit! Shots were a little disappointing until we got on that target. Shots like that rabbit is the reason I like TAC so much. Only 2/4 made foam on it.
Haha yeah I let my kids name them. I run all same color fletch and have them write a name on the spine aligned fletch. Let them pic the wrap as well and oddly enough they picked out a merchant of death penny wise themed wrap.
Who's going this year? This would be my third round at TAC and always have a blast there. Made it through 75 targets last year while only losing one arrow. His name was Henry and he had a bent insert, one ripped fletch, all color and graphics rubbed off the wrap, and about 7 grains missing from...
I think obviously no one knows, but I could see them putting restrictions on power magnifications, or limiting the total amount of vertical dial one is allowed to use. For example my NXS and NX8 have roughly 90 MOA vertice adjustment. Maybe they set a law at 10 MOA or equivalent for mills on...
The best I'd say is Tangent Theta or Zero Compromise. I'm a Nightforce NXS and NX8 shooter though, as my wife would kill me if I dropped 4-6k on glass.
I'm the puss that wears them. Usually 2-3 pairs on me. GLOVEWORKS HD 8mil. Makes clean up wonderful and if a buddy gets cut I'm not transferring or exposing hands to someone else's blood. Found them to be useful in very wet conditions as well.
Those big coastal fish are something else. I've noticed hooking them is one thing (especially first boat down), but landing them and keeping a hook anchored is a hole different story.
Who here has got a true 20lb or bigger steelhead. The 40"×20"+ or my personal favorite the football shaped ones 38"×22"+. Lived in WA since 2015, and while I have hooked a few, and watched them head back to the salt laughing the entire way that 20 still alludes me. Despite multiple friends...
I'm a odd duck, but if it's the size of my palm or larger with no sinew or fat lines I'll steak it. I cut my stakes thin and will tenderize most cuts from the legs and just pan fry in cast iron with a little butter. With the thickness I cut them at its about 50-60 seconds per side to keep some...
Black Ovis OCD sacks. Super light, and go through camofire all the time. Only ran them for two years so far, but they have seen some use. No issues with them yet.
Probably going to have to spend the money. If I recommend anywhere to go it would be the Thorofare. Never been deep into it, but hunted the edges and have heard some amazing things about that place.
I did ditch one this year, definitely was to many. Went to different type of lighter cord this year, and cant remember it's name. I'm weird with meat part bags. I always spilt the BS, Neck/Scrap, and tendies into separate bags. Only reason I have the garbage bags keep the pack clean, as most the...
Me being the "kill kit" poster can guarantee more branch bulls have died at my hand then yours on public land in my short 35 years on this planet. With that fact I will most certainly continue to call it a "kill kit". 😉 Have a great day you miserable human.
