With the PRC craze that has happened, I’m really thinking that Hornady has to be working on a 7mm PRC round. But who knows. The way components and ammunition are right now, it might be a moot point for a few more months anyway haha
I don’t have a Tikka so I’d have to start from scratch or buy something and rebarrel it. So for me it’s a minimum of $1k investment where I could get a 280ai or 7 mag for less than that as a factory option.
Someone offering a short action 7mm that could push a 150 grain bullet at 3,000 fps...
I’ve been wondering this same thing. I just wish either the 7 saum, 7 wsm, or some other new 7mm short action based PRC-like round is released soon that has the support in factory rifles. There’s not a lot in 7mm unfortunately
This is the biggest reason why I hope Tikka chambers the 6.5 PRC this year. My plan is to get a new Tikka in that, shoot it until the barrel is toast, then rebarrel to 7 saum or some other 7mm short action round built off the Tikka magnum bolt face to keep the cost of a full custom build down...
Just wondering when most manufacturers are announcing their offerings for the next year. I know with SHOT being cancelled that it throws a wrench into everything, but I’ve heard a lot of rumors about a few new calibers being offered in some and was just wondering when some of those might become...
I’ve worked with a handful of BYU grads that were chem-e’s and I have been very unimpressed by every single one of them. Entitlement will get you nowhere quick in the workforce and they mostly thought that their piece of paper from BYU would be all they’d need to wave around instead of working...
Oh man this made me laugh hahaha. I was very much unaware of the term “soaking” until my wife and I moved to ID.
I have some very strong opinions on the scenario of being non-LDS and moving into a very heavy LDS area. So OP, if you want to message me privately for some of those thoughts, I’d...
We eat pretty healthy as it is, but dinner would be the only carbs I’d be eating all day. And most of that should get expended during workouts (typically about 5 hours a week in fairly vigorous weight lifting).
Haha got a camp chef that is going to be smoking lots of roasts low and slow!
About to start this next week- mainly only eating breakfast and lunch this way. Dinners will be a little more “normal” because my wife would kill me if she had to deal with me only eating meat at dinner with her. Curious to hear if there are any other tips you guys have that have been doing this...
I use kryptek Valhalla’s and they worked fantastic this year. Enough stretch to not be cumbersome and cool enough to stay cool in the 70-80 degree idaho afternoons
