    Mazda CX-7/CX-9

Owner of the smaller model, CX5. Had it for a few years so far and just to the point where I’m throwing in new shocks. A couple instances of parasitic draw killing the battery and needing to jump it, more often in the cold (replaced battery than warrantied battery). Basic maintenance is easy on...

    The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

Got in on RIVN before it jumped. I’m up a little over 30% on airline stocks. Hoping to get a bit more before selling those.

    Battery Powered Chainsaws

I replaced the o ring on mine after it leaked everywhere. It helped mine when I forgot to empty it when I wasn’t going to use it for a while. Most times I just emptied the bar oil so there was no chance of a mess.

    Battery Powered Chainsaws

Have the smaller 20v dewalt chainsaw and for small jobs within its capabilities I was impressed with it. Cut 70 arborvitae down with it which was my only purpose of purchase. A new o ring eliminated most of the leaking, it leaked bad before that. A gas one is more powerful but didn’t regret not...

How important is a range finder?

Using a rangefinder to confirm distances or practicing judging various distance makes it very useful. I use it to get distances off landmarks while hunting. When the animal hits that landmark I know the distance and can take the shot sooner than trying to range and possibly spook the animal.

Mobile truck tool box/tote? What are the essentials?

Yep, it definitely works in a bind. Since then bought some manufactured rubber ones. Same concept as the 2x4 piece. I’m adding a spare key to my list. Electric chainsaw will go with me now. A portable compressor has saved me more than I want to admit.

    12 x 50 Binos — Too Much?

If you are borrowing a spotter the 10x42’s should pair well. Most 10x42’s also fit the small size when it comes to bino harnesses (marsupial as my reference) which stays out of the way while when wearing.

How to find a good Labrador breeder?

We had similar experiences looking for a good lab breeder and just so happened to stumble upon who I think is a good one. Getting info from a primary source is good vs looking at websites. We picked up a second pup from the same breeder a couple months back and their website is outdated and...

    Recommend Meat Hauling Packs

Packed out the wife’s doe antelope quarters with a frameless pack, I have since purchased an MR pop up. It was both of our first experience with hauling out an animal in a pack and admittedly could have done things a lot better. Some sort of framed pack should do much better.
