Conversations make the world go 'round. But I get your point.

Support Idaho’s Gov on newly signed Wolf Reduction Bill—easy!

Because it's extreme. You can read the headlines and know that it's going to create a rallying cry for pro-wolf and anti-hunting groups. Plus, it's opening the door even more for our legislators to take this kind of action, which is bad for all the reasons the attached IWF article calls out...

Support Idaho’s Gov on newly signed Wolf Reduction Bill—easy!

How would that help? Everyone with a sportsman's package has had a wolf tag in their pockets for years. F&G has basically deputized all of us to go kill some wolves and we've failed. I could have ten tags a year and the end result would be the same - haven't seen or killed one. I gotta admit...

What about the other side of the coin? We don't want legislators circumventing the F&G. Bad precedent.

Idaho check stations near unit 17

I agree. I think the check stations they're referring to are the temporary ones that are set up to check hunters in the Fall. I've never seen one in the Spring. Other option is a regional office, but nothing close to 17.

There are a couple Sony 16-50 lenses available on Amazon right now for $113. I haven't used it, but given your requirements, it'll do the trick.

    Shooting sticks

I use the same. Super light, take no space, and work well. My young kids can use them, too, since you adjust the height by spreading the legs more or less. These $20 sticks now seem to cost $35+ now.

Great to hear, thanks! And good luck on your purchase. I really like the setup and I'm excited to finally get out more with it now that spring is here. Bear season's coming.

I don't feel like a high dollar rifle scope would have changed the outcome of any hunt I've been on.
