    I use Ballistol, mainly because it's the one lubricant that is always on the bench, but it has worked well.

    Cut with the grain is definitely more traditional. I don't think you can go wrong either way, really.

    My go to recipe is from the book Charcuterie by Ruhlman and Polcyn: 1kg lean round sliced thin 20g kosher salt 5g garlic powder 5g onion powder 60g finely chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce 24hr marinade in fridge

    For a quick adjustment just turn the dial to focus the target image. This will usually get you very close to parallax free.

    I usually run 10x or 12x for desert mule deer and I reach for the 8x for the woods or twilight.

    They seem to do fine as long as you don't push them too hard. They are essentially just a (plated) lead conical. Are you trying to avoid saboted bullets for some reason?
