I've been looking around for the "right" 9.3x62 for a couple years and found 'the one' just before listening to the latest podcast. @Formidilosus, you might have effectively quenched my medium bore thirst and replaced it with a 1:8 twist 243 Tikka...
Is there a marked difference between the 103...
I've always wanted a No1 in 9.3x62... could go x74R or a 370 sako for a little more snort...
With it currently being a 338 win mag, I'd make it a 358 Norma
275 Rigby would be neat too...
My vote is go the classic, fuddy route
Bumping this up again...
Been playing with a new 308 lately and trying to determine which bullet to go with... seems like the ELDM at 308 velocity is likely the ticket, but which weight? Anyone had some more terminal results between the 168 and 178 (heck, 208?) at moderate velocities?
I have had 2 different Wilson match barrels from JSE Surplus, they were both boring-ly accurate with bullets from 40 to 77 grains, either hand loads or factory. I don't think there was anything my last one would shoot over 1 MOA...

No experience with them but they look nice. I just wrapped mine in coban fwiw
Full disclosure, I had a ewe tag last year and it was one of the coolest hunting experiences I have ever had.
Bighorn Sheep are well studied and carefully managed in Wyoming, and these seasons were started because a couple herd units are showing the early signs of having another big die off...
dryer sheets have worked great for me. If I'm dropping charges I'll even stick a strip in the powder bottle/hopper. Darn near essential for me when shotgun reloading
Folks that are using a MagnetoSpeed during load development...
I know on lighter contour barrels they will cause a POI shift, do they change barrel harmonics enough to make a big difference in group size?
I guess another question would be have any of you gotten a good group with a MagnetoSpeed...
I got told at my local UPS store earlier this year that me shipping a firearm (back to manufacturer) was a felony if I a didn't have an FFL... I went to FedEx down the street and had no issues
I've been scheming a 6mm custom for a while too. If you want to shoot it a lot, a 243 win or ai is a bit of an easy button.... brass and factory ammo is cheap and easy to come by compared to any of the others. If barrel life is a concern don't load it hot and it'll last longer than you think...
