I took a leap on one in 223 when Eurooptic had them on sale. Hasn't shipped yet but anxious to start playing with it. Pre recall I think they were an awesome concept... I hope extra barrels get sorted out by someone now that CZ won't offer them or bolt heads ro Joe Schmos
I have a rem and AI. killed everything from bighorn sheep to bison with them. One big drawback is factory ammo for either is quite limited. If you don't hand load or want to buy ammo by the case when it's available, go PRC, it's a hell of a round too
Form, you've got me curious on the 6 ARC over some other 6mm options, and 108 eldm loads can be had pretty dang cheap currently. What are your thoughts on one in an AR platform over a bolt gun when shooting factory fodder? Not too interested in a full custom, so would be limited to Howa mini or...

Scott may be on board for doing it for you. I've never gotten him to respond to an email, so give him a call. He works on all guns, but made his start specializing in savages years ago as far as I know
I hear ya on that. I got into ARs a fair bit about 10 years ago and did a lot of coyote hunting then too. Looking into the 6 arc sparked some interest to put one together, but I'm not sure I'd like it much for a big game hunt
Appreciate it!
I stopped in to a small LGS yesterday and they had a CZ600 Lux in 223. I measured the mag out to 2.315. Was hoping it would be a touch longer, but not bad. The mini action is a nice size, and trigger was surprisingly nice
Who here has a 6mm ARC on an AR15 platform? Since I cant use the venerable 77 TMK for elk where I'm at I was looking into building/buying a 6mm of some flavor to use the 108 ELDM and noticed that factory 6mm ARC ammo is currently not much more than the price of new brass....
Got a few extra...
Think your buddy could measure the max COAL? Looks like the 600 is built on 3 action sizes which is neat for 223 family stuff. Curious if the 1:7 twist can be fully taken advantage of by loading stuff long
Is that a quarter you glued in there? To increase resale value?
I'll admit, I am very intrigued by the 600 Trail, but for 350 bucks I'm going to have a very hard time passing one up...
Well I had been really searching for a 8 twist 243 tikka since I can't legally shoot elk with a 223, but now you've really got me thinking of a 6ARC since I've got about everything but a barrel laying around to do an ARC AR build....
Factory ammo is a lot more reasonably priced than i figured...
Cripes this thread is getting hard to keep up with! I was post #5 when it started and here we are at page 223!
Thanks to all who have contributed, both in their detailed accounts and even some of you with your fun banter.
Exactly what I do as well. I get a bit of that type of ring from factory federal rounds in two different rifles, doesn't mean you're edging towards case head separation, but you'd be able to feel it if you were
Cool to see you guys in the forum! Have had my Ourdoorsman pacs for several years now and they are my favorite winter boot for any time I'm working/hunting outside and not going to sit for extended periods. Not too heavy, not too light, and comfortable as heck!
Nice rifle and nice write up!
The Weatherby/Peak44 3d printed recoil pads work really well IMO, but they will deform if stored in the way you describe. I have a horizontal gun chest/cabinet so i have no issues. But, I ecommend putting them in gun safe or cabinet muzzle down
