    Money or Happiness

To me, this is the right answer. I don't have kids, at least not yet, so take this with a grain of salt. Providing for your family is the number one priority. But what does that mean to you? Does it mean that they have full stomachs, clothes on their backs, a roof over their heads, college...

    2023 Bird and Dog pics

Ran solo for Christmas this year so decided to make a long weekend trip to the better side of the Divide here in Montana. Started with the best morning of duck hunting I’ve ever had. Pheasants were tough, but got a great flush and retrieve on what would be the last rooster of the season for us...

Tikka "Rokslide Special", let's see 'em

Best I could get on my scale was about 8lb 12oz as it sits with a loaded mag. I haven't weighed it by itself, but the cheek pad seems pretty heavy for what it is.

Tikka "Rokslide Special", let's see 'em

T3x superlite 6.5CM Sportsmatch rings Trijicon Credo 2.5-15x42 I have more confidence in this setup than in any other rifle I’ve had or used. Shot varied ranges between 340 and 610 yards today. Extremely easy.

    Upland Pants

I'm really liking my FL Sawbucks. Two seasons so far including some big game hunts. I do wish they small side pockets. Just enough for a wallet and hunting license would be great. No durability issues so far, though I'm concerned about long term due to experience with a pair of corrugates that...

Who can thread my Tikka T3X Lite 223 for a suppressor (Hyperion)?

How did the Mountain Meadow one turn out? I was looking at using Karl, but I'm in the Flathead so logistics would be easier.

What do you do for a living?

Forester for a sawmill. We have a good chunk of company owned land that hunting is allowed on. Encouraged to keep a rifle in the truck and tags in the pocket. We bid on and purchase a lot of Forest Service and State timber sales, so get to go behind locked gates quite often. Can't hunt while...

    Simple, Durable, Dialable, SFP Scope

I would absolutely go with the SHV. I have one with the IHR reticle sitting on the shelf. Super reliable for me when it was mounted. I switched it out for the 2.5-15x42 Credo. I actually like the turrets on the SHV better than the credo. If the 3-10 had a mil option, it would be the perfect...

    Newish Guy from MT

I've been a lurker here for years now. Originally from WV now in MT. Trying to be more involved now. I was already drinking the Tikka kool aid, but I've gained a lot of knowledge about terminal ballistics, scope selection, packs, boots, and even life advice from the members here. Love the memes...

Who else is a Tikka convert?

I have 2. A T3 lite in 308 that was my Christmas/Birthday/Graduation present in 2007/2008. Added a T3X superlite in 6.5CM a few years ago. Dabbled with some semi custom 700's and others. Only one of those left, while the Tikka's have stayed.

Trijicon Credo® HX 2.5-15x42 user reviews requested

    1. Super easy. I had an issue with the zero stop the first time I set it, but the was 100% user error. 2. I really like the reticle after using it. I agree with @schmalzy in that I rarely use mine over 10x and wish the marks matched up there. A couple weeks ago I shot a mule deer buck with 6...

    Kids

How did everyone decide that having kids and raising a family were for them? Currently wrestling with the idea. I would like to start a family, but sometimes feel like I'm a little too late. I also have little experience being around babies or young kids. All of my friends and siblings had kids...
