    A 140 gr bullet with a MV of 3000 fps from a 7mm-08 will be moving 56 fps faster at 300 yards, than the same bullet fired from a 7mm Rem Mag w a MV of 3300 would be moving at 500 yards.     Boresighted rifles are not ready to hunt. The animal deserves better. Please don’t ever take a rifle hunting again that you have not personally zeroed with live rounds. Vortex scopes are garbage

    Action screws torqued to spec Scope base screws/rings screws all torqued to spec If those are good and your loads are consistent, then I would try another scope Are you using a bipod and rear bag?

    Your profile shows you in Georgia so I'm guessing these parcels you are looking at are in Georgia? If you are buying the property solely as a place to recreate, then I would not necessarily be deterred by a Conservation Easement if you have large tracts of undeveloped land all around you...
