I have these in a 38T. Used 4 times in a blind. Being I mostly hunt from a blind, I don't need fancy camo. $100 includes shipping in the USA. Will send pictures upon request.
Optifade Open Country is the camo pattern...
I have 4 Elk points now. Looking for a rifle tag with easier hunt. No horse back. No wilderness hunting.
Something doable for an older gent.
Any good recommendations ?
My plans for the Oct 1st opener got derailed when my Mom passed. I normally hunt opening day, because it's a 200 yard shot on opening day.
Now that they are all skittish after being shot at, what distance will I have to shoot on the last 2 days of the month?
I paid $2500 for my Ewe tag, please big bucks for a guide. Any legal Ewe within 400-500 yards will be in my freezer. and she's getting mounted too. That's if I make it to 13,000 feet.
There's a good video put out by Vortex, showing how the 6.5 out preforms the .308.
any my personal experience proves the 6.5CM with accubonds kills Moose... Caribou.. Aoudad. Not so good on Antelope..
I shot a nice bull with a TTSX .308 168 gr. 4x5 Elk. Took 4 shots to the lungs. My guide was shocked, so he skinned & cut out all 4 bullets. The expansion was nil. Some lost pedals, some slightly open. about 200 yards. Not one mushroomed.
He said he would not allow copper ammo again...
Alot of good information. Mostly good except a few sad comments.
I learned there are helicopter based hunts, and boat based hunts.
I have spoken to the boat based hunt guide. He was suggesting 400+ yards. Possibly 600 yards shots.
So it's time to get back to the range.
