    Aluminum F150 rusting? Hmmm.... At Tundra would be way outclassed towing what the OP needs to do. Tundras aren't for work. I would look for an F250 gasser.

    ECWCS Gen 3 Layer 6 on Ebay. 3-Layer Goretex, a really wide variety of sizing (if you're 5'8" and barrel-chested, you'll appreciate Short sizing). Not really lightweight but solid and made in the US. You can get top and bottom for under $150 if you look.

    Tacoma is pretty far from a 1/2 ton. You'll be lucky to get 500lb in it without serious suspension upgrades and even then, the frame isn't up to the task.

    It takes knowledge to know how to load the roll correctly (OVER!), how much to pull off, fold it properly for 4 thicknesses, and fold the dirty part inside and do it again. You're probably a wad-wiper.

    I couldn't love this post more! What's the opposite of a Fudd? There's an entire generation that can't tie their shoes without help from the internet. They have no idea how unintelligent they are but you can't tell them that.

    Meopta scopes

    I just put an Optika 4.5-27 on a bench rifle. Tracking is excellent, optics are excellent. Build quality is very good. I also have a MeoSport 3-15 on a Tikka 300WSM...Very happy with that, as well. I think they punch way above their price point.

    Second Gen definitely had frame rust...And flat leaf springs(recall). Toyota is not friendly to existing owners. They flat-out say 'We don't need to take care of existing owners, people will buy our cars regardless'. That's exactly what they told me. I sold a 2006 DC Sport with a 6sp manual...

    I just bought the Vanguard Table Top Tripod for this exact purpose. Haven't had it to the range but indoors with a lightweight spotter is pretty solid. Big step up from what I had been using. $35.00 on sale.
