Most of the trophy bull units will allow either antlerless only or spike/antlerless on general tag. Not sure the reasoning, but it’s been that way for years
I too would suggest a guided private land hunt. The bob is great, but not consistently good hunting. The early rifle season should be treated more as a great trip into amazing country with a rifle, don’t plan on seeing many elk, but plan on spending a ton of time in a saddle, which can be...
Not sure the question is all that fair- I don’t think a 200” wt is comparable to a 200” mule deer or a 400” bull. A 170-180 might be more fair. Going off of your question though, I would say the whitey, just because I think there are that few that make it to that size.

You can kill animals in anything, and I too have done more than my fair share of hunting in jeans, but you can pick up a cheap pair of wool pants for the same price as a pair of jeans. Wool is better than cotton anyday.

Coming from someone who has spent a fair bit of time in grizzly country, you'll be lucky to get more than one or two shots. When you are really looking down a barrel at a grizzly, all your thinking is "this isnt nearly f'n enough"
Carry whatever is comfortable, because the reality is, you'll...
