Same here. After my elk meat is cooled down and dry, I put it in big ass food-grade clear plastic bags, push as much air out as I can, twist the opening end tight, twist tie that, and then the meat goes in coolers with bags of ice packed around it. Works like a charm.
Might want to look at the Crispi Thor II as a closer comparison to the Quest. I think they make the Thor II in a wide. Just wore mine this weekend for the first time hunting all day here in GA. Comfy and no blisters. Worth checking out.
I too was looking for a more durable alternative to my Solamon boots and ended up with the Crispi Thor II. They fit me much better than the Crispi Guide pair I had. Just got the Thors, but so far, I am really digging them.
This scope has served me well. Not a lot of action in the field, but has seen two long-range shooting classes ringing steel out to 600 yards. I have the itch to try a FFP scope and I may venture into Leupold's MK5 line. Not sure yet. However, I am not looking for trades.
