I started using the Teeter Dex II machine and in just a few weeks, I have seen a major improvement in my back pain. It’s almost gone. It lets you decompress, but I think it’s the back extensions that have saved me. The back extensions get really deep into the lower back and glute muscles. Seems...
It's an interesting read that I got a lot out of. I also get a lot out of Buddhism and quantum physics. Of course, a lot of people will try to slag all of that and other modes of thinking because they challenge their fundamental notions of reality. To narrow minded folks, that might as well be...
Point well taken. I hunt cows, and meat is 100% the priority for me, so so I suppose there’s a tradeoff there. On one hand, I totally get the devastating trauma and big blood trail of an ELDX/M. On the other hand, the increased risk of blood shot meat is kind of a bummer. Food for thought - no...
I just got into the 6.5 PRC game. I’m going to use Norma Bondstrike for hunting. By all accounts, seems to be a quality bonded bullet. I use ELDX for the range, and it groups well. Not sure I trust it for my hunt after a lot of mixed reviews on terminal performance.
Agreed. I switched out my scope to Trijicon Credo last minute last season, because my Leupold shook my confidence. Glad I made the move. Trijicon is rock solid.
You are not crazy to switch the scope and ring setup to something you can trust. For me, trust = proven performance over time. If you do switch it up, make sure that you get enough rounds down range over multiple sessions that you can walk away trusting the new setup more than your last setup.
Interested in this one as well. I like my Credo HX, but I would prefer a more simple reticle with a single illuminated dot. The Amplus looks promising.
There's another thread where I share my experience with my frost free freezer. Suffice to say, I think the "frost free phobia" is BS. My big ass upright frost free freezer mostly stays at -10 F and occasionally cycles up to 5 F. Everything I put in there stays rock solid, freezer burn free...
OP - I wish you and your family the best. A piece of advice since everyone here seems to be giving it out - don’t post updates about your son regarding an open criminal case. I appreciate that you seem to be a friendly good hearted person, but I would recommend keeping your communication on here...
I personally try to put my pets down the way I would want to be put down - as loving and peaceful as possible. For me, that’s a vet doing it in my home. I believe that’s the most important part, that my animal senses love and compassion on the way out. Whatever you do, try to do right by your...
Magnification should not change the impact of your bullet. In theory, you could zero a scope at any magnification you choose. One reason that a lot of folks use max magnification is that it allows them to more easily acquire dead center on the target and also see the results after firing.
If the .270 has been whacking and stacking elk for decades, then the 6.5 PRC will do just fine if:
You shoot within your abilities
You shoot within the effective range of the caliber
You use a quality bullet
You put it in the kill zone
Do all of the above and you will have yourself a dead elk...
No offense taken. I have been shooting 30-06 exclusively, but I have recently decided that I would like to try a new cool kid caliber with less recoil and solid ballistics. Hence the 6.5 PRC catching my eye, and it's also a great excuse to buy a new rifle. I tend to agree with you regarding...
