Great. Probably fluctuates between -10 and 5 F, which is to be expected for frost-free. But anybody who says that it has a detrimental effect on food is full of it. Whether it's -10 F or 5 F, it's frozen solid and staying that way. Those fluctuations up to 5 F only happen every few days anyway.
So sorry to read this, as I have been there before. My advice - switch roles with your dog. in fact, forget about dog or human. Ask yourself - if I was this sick, would I want my friend to help me end the suffering, or would I want to keep going? There’s no wrong or right answer there, but...
My advice would generally be to shoot with your dominate eye. I will go so far as to say that switching the side you shoot from is easy. People tend to think it will be hard to switch, but it’s not. I’m right handed Left eye dominant. I taught myself to shoot left handed a year ago, and now...
BJJ plus muay thai will make for an insanely well rounded skill set. In addition to more conventional striking, the clinch work and inside strikes in muay thai are both brilliant and lethal. And being able to neck wrestle while standing compliments ground work very well.
Hey guys - I’m going to do something really novel here. I’m going to acknowledge the intent of the original post and echo the sentiment that Ukraine‘s president is a badass and the people of Ukraine are worthy of our deepest respect and support. Long live Ukraine
Okay, you guys can get back...
I find that my Axis jacket allows for some layers - I can comfortably wear 2-3 layers if needed. It's still a form-fitting jacket by nature, though. Without layers, it looks normal and isn't too baggy, which is good because I purchased to be an around town jacket as well. Arms aren't too bad...
Axis is good, but I do find that to be a layering jacket. It's not necessarily super warm on its own, but with the right layers underneath, it's great and I use it all the time in somewhat cold weather - 30's to 40's.
I am going to be doing some swamp hog hunting in GA here soon. So for the most part, we're talking pants tucked inside rubber boots and what I anticipate to be pretty inhospitable territory, warm weather. I have pair of FL Sawbuck pants as a fallback, and I like them a lot, but they don't have...
Not the most graceful entrance, but welcome to the forum
EDIT - My recommendation is to introduce yourself and participate in the forum for a bit. The reason that I say that is because most elk hunting veterans who have put in years of work (which is not me) get chapped asses over people who...
Depends on the area, but in some flatter areas in the south of WY, there are resident elk herds that don’t move around much. I would talk to the wildlife biologist, and if there are some year round elk spots, go after em.
When you say you have failed, can you describe what you mean? When you keep both eyes open, focus on the reticle, breath and squeeze, what happens that makes you feel like it’s not working?
I just got a pair of lacrosse rubber snake boots. Haven’t fully tested them yet, but from the first time I put them on, I found them to be way more comfortable than I had anticipated.
I am considering putting an optic on my AR15 to hunt hogs. I anticipate shots ranging from up close and personal to 100 yards. My eyes aren't so great, so I feel like my current red dot wouldn't cut it. Ideally, I'm looking for something like a 1-4x or 1-6x, lightweight, low profile scope with a...
I was going to pop in here to suggest the Vedder Light Tuck, but you already have that. Appendix carry is most definitely a highly personal thing. After thinking that I would never, ever be able to appendix carry comfortably, the magic combo for me has been Sig P365, Vedder Light Tuck, Nexbelt...
The best way to think of it is, and I'm honestly not trying to be a smartass - it's the opposite of "Valid on national forest". So your tag is valid off national forest, but not on national forest.
