Meateater wolf podcast vs Kifaru Wolf Podcast

Agreed. Except I made it about 2 minutes... The guy asking questions came across quite biased right out of the gate. If you expect to have any productive discussion about such controversial topics you need to have a bit more tact imo. Mike

    Outdoorsman Tripod and Heads

Is it 16 oz with the base plate? a flat lb is not heavy in my book. When you're getting close to 1.5 lbs it's getting up there but 16-24 oz for head/baseplate is very doable for me. Thanks Mike

What’s it weigh? And can it double up as a rifle rest with a 10.5 lb rifle? [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Paypal Rules of Engagement?

I don't use Paypal anymore... they revoked my account two weeks ago because I'm in the firearms industry.... *rolleyes* Prior to that I either requested F&F for ads on here or buyer adds 3%. It was negotiated a few times where we split fees and haggled a bit. Never was an issue. Mike

    Outdoorsman Tripod and Heads

I have the same feelings on the outdoorsmans as the poster above. They lock down solid and are smooth when wide open, but a controlled smooth panning motion is very hard to achieve. I’ll be shopping for a new pan head here before scouting season comes up. I’ve used the medium outdoorsmans...

    Epoxy Bedding scope bases

It’s never a bad idea. On any factory Remington running factory 6:48 screws bedding the base is a must especially if you aren’t running a rail with an integral lug (Seekins). I’ve slipped a lot of scope rings and bases on rifles over the years. Never had a base slip with it bedded. Awhile back I...

What gaiters does everyone prefer to use?

I’ve been wearing gaitors for 10+ years and have never had a pair designed to ride above the knee. They cinch down above the calf muscle below your knee. In 10 seasons I’ve worn out two pairs of Kuiu chugach gaitors and a set of the FL Bramblers. Got to say I really liked the FirstLite and...

    Kilo 2400 abs help

That’s good to know, if environmentals are that consistent then we can move on to the ballistic profile data. Keep us posted on you’re testing! Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kilo 2400 abs help

How much FPS per degree is your powder changing? My guess is the temperature is causing a calculated FPS change and the sensors might be off or didn’t have enough time to acclimate between the two units. But that is a fairly uneducated guess... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kilo 2400 abs help

I use the bullet library with G7 BC values for the Kilo and it works good. I’ve never had much luck with the custom drag curves. Also you need to be checking ranges and outputs past 600 yards and have your phone hooked up to the Kilo so you can see what temp and environmentals it’s recording...

Any new rifle Scopes from shot show?

If anybody gets a look through one, does the optic still have the “tunnel” effect on the low end of the mag range like their other high mag scopes? One thing I never liked about my 5-25 Enhanced C555 ATACR, from about 5-8x the fov never changed it just tunneled closer and the black inside of the...

Any new rifle Scopes from shot show?

I never got the issue with fine reticles at close range. I’ve taken multiple (4 off the top of my head) inside 70 yards off hand with ffp scopes on low mag. Heck at that distance I could center them in the scope and shoot them without a crosshair.... Glad to see NF offer a non ocular rotating...

Reading Wind - long range shooting

Experience is key here. Wind flows like water... Remember on windy days in canyon country how we as hunters never take lunch or naps on the ridge tops? You get down 10-20 yards and the winds often die down (and your glassing opportunities diminish as well [emoji2357]). That’s always something...

Zeiss Conquest V6 Riflescope Review, By Tony Trietch

I was just sent one of these to test as well from Zeiss and for the MOA/SFP crowd they're a stellar optic. I'm impressed enough I'll be selling them. Mike
