Yes - if it was 45% with 4 points, it was 0% with 3 points... during the preference point draw.
A few with 3 points likely drew in the random portion of the draw, but they had the same odds as any other schmuck with <4 points (and any non-schmuck in the draw for that matter)
The Special and the Random are two completely different pools. Of the total NR quota for a unit (or, in this case. statewide general allocation) 60% of the tags go to the regular draw and 40% go to the special draw.
Those individual pools are further broken down such that 75% are issued to...
Maruchan is your best bet for "bargain" ramen (<$0.50/pack)
Shin Ramen is a game changer if you buck up in price ($1-2/pack)
Lotus foods ramen is a bit different in terms of flavor and texture, and doesn't have palm oil (I guess you'd call me an environmentalist for worrying about such things...
Hey Brett- Did you call the folks at Hammer? Steve will walk you through the process he uses and I've yet to see their approach not make a shooter with about 8 rounds. It's uncanny. He'll probably have some powder ideas for you, but likely you'll be able to use whatever you have and get a...
If you don't like lugging weight, it would be hard to beat one of those Spartan Javelin setups. I have one bipod, and the adaptor for all of my rifles. Really easy to take on and off, and very stable from a prone position.
It basically comes down to hydrostatic shock. A muzzleoader and a .22 are moving much slower than a high-powered rifle, so they don't cause the same trauma when they hit the animal.
I had the 417 rifle tag in 2022. Feel free to PM me with any questions. I can only speak to my observations, but happy to help a fellow hunter (or applicant)
I held the rifle bull tag in this unit in 2022. I'll throw out to the world to PM me if interested in some intel here. I'll spare the details to anyone with a Google search engine
If it were me, I probably wouldn't go guided in WY. You'll see other hunters out there, and for what your goals are, I think you'd have a good hunt without guides.
This is all assuming the powers that be don't change the draw to something that gives a pool of tags to outfitters...
Biden supporter here. I would try western Colorado. Lots of OTC units around and no shortage of folks that could take you in to good hunting spots. If you wanted specifics you could message me, but the bottom line is that if you found a mountain range you wanted to hunt and looked for drop camp...
I have a set of Medium Tall Stone Glacier De Havilland pants in tarmac (green-grayish) color. These are the lighter of the two they have and include the side zips on the outside of the legs. I owned them for a couple weeks and washed them twice, so they are like new.
$125 OBO shipped. Holler...
Agreed. Lots hinge on that question. I'd think if you just see that a deer has a lot on it's head and that's all that makes you want to go after it, your setup should do the job.
If you don't have to attach the rifle to the pod, I would just get a good set of forks that you can throw on that tripod. I just carry one in my pack with a quick attach plate and am off to the races if I need it.
Something along the lines of this would work, but there are all sorts of good...
If it were me, I wouldn't change anything. You have a fully functioning rifle scope that is sighted in. You won't notice 4 or 5 ounces lighter while speed goat hunting, and that hunt with your dad won't hinge on scope weight either. I'm a bdc person too, and you can always figure out the...
