Gut shot doe... is the meat ok?

Gut shot stinky is very different than spoiled meat stinky. I think it would be impossible to tell if the meat was bad until you had the animal field dressed. In the unfortunate event that I gut shot an animal, I always use the gutless method to process them.

Need advice , my pup is getting aggressive ..

@molliesmaster had some fantastic advice. It’s disheartening to see people suggesting that you shoot the dog or beat it. It sounds like you have some work to do, and that your dog needs some established boundaries and structure. It does not sound like this dog is a lost cause. Best of luck to you.

    6.5 Creed small primers

Any idea what the consensus is on the definition of “cold” for this issue? I have been using CCI 400s in my 6.5 creed for a couple years now and often shoot when the temp is in the low 20s. Sample size of one, I’m just curious if we’re talking serious cold, like sub-zero.

Am I the only one who doesn’t use any gloves when I am gutting an animal out lol.

I wore gloves for the first time a few weeks ago and I’m never going back to not wearing gloves. I had four deer to break down and nicked my finger while gutting the first one. I cleaned it up and put a rubber glove on to keep it clean. In my opinion, wearing gloves makes gutting significantly...
