It’s not that it’s “ok” or “not ok”- it’s that 18in-lbs let the scope lose zero. Are for tightening them to 25in-lbs, that just experience. 20in-lbs generally/sometimes works with these rings, but I didn’t want to have a “maybe”. I wanted to go to straight to the answer.
Having said all...
Are you asking about how they will be checked before shipping? Ot how the preproduction samples will be evaluated?
Same here, I need more clarity. What “design summary” are you looking for?
The 4x pair of Revic’s I’ve used, had “appropriately” stiff focus wheels- not much different than any butter foot binos. The Vectors, I cannot imagine you would be happy with. “Feeling” generally doesn’t bother me, but it is the cheapest, crapiest feeling focus wheel I have used- and there are...
Were you trying to wax the stretch portions?
Either you are using the wrong wax or applying it incorrectly- properly waxed G1000 or other cotton canvas is waterproof like rubber.
In that example, no. I would still choose the TMK. While ELD-M’s do well, and generally will upset at 1,800fps, often enough it is minimal upset and it is not unheard of for the 147gr specifically to have reduced upset.
The real question is how often are you legitimately killing animals at...
No. A well setup Tikka is an excellent rifle.
My interest in this is that there is finally a US made rifle that can be used and recommend without reservation- there are no “it’s good, but” involved.
Ahh. Drive by reading.
TMK’s are nearly ideal in construction and design. They have a lower consistent upset velocity, and a more oval or football shaped wound. In most cases they create the largest wounds in the respective class while still reaching sufficient penetration depth.
