I’m not sure we are communicating well regarding CIC vs SCI. I’m not advocating that one is superior to other. Having spoken with a few order Europeans, it became my understanding that 200 CIC should equate to roughly 330 SCI.
Aside from that… this will be a native herd stag with no fence...
I’ll be after a 200 CIC. We’ll see how it goes. In speaking with the operator, he said you could basically compare it to a 330 to 340 SCI. Hoping for a gold medal in N of Croatia. My research indicates that 180 CIC is average to high bronze. It’s also my understanding the different regions...
Current plan is spend night in Zagreb after landing. Lodge staff will pick me up next morning. Hunt that afternoon. Then three full 1:1 days of hunting. The last morning is an option if we need it. Set price for first trophy… unlimited. My goal is a 200 CIC deer, which likely will be gold...
So European stag are scored and priced either by weight of skull and antlers, or by CIC score. I’m trying to figure out about what various CIC scores would equate to in SCI points. I’m looking at 180 and 190 CIC stag. Any help would be appreciated.
Sent them an email today. I found some pricing on their stag hunts, but I’m not sure it’s current. Website says to email for pricing. What I found was a link through Google that took me to .pdf with pricing. Looks very competitive. We’ll see.
Have also been in touch with an outfit in...
yep! And cutting edge practices. I love America, and buying large. It’s hard to argue that our medical capabilities are second to anybody. But the IVF deal here is a fracking racket. We tried twice. Drove five hours to one place for a consultation. The appointment was for 10 AM, need...
10-4. Thanks. We hung out in eastern Czech Republic 5 years ago for a few weeks (wife went back solo after fist round IVF didn’t take) and really liked the region. Have a healthy 4.5 year old boy to show for it. Two rounds IVF, hotel, three flights , food, some tourism still cheaper than one...
I’m kinda eyeballing a 2025 hunt in Hungary. Looks “affordable” and I like idea of native herd. Antlers aren’t NZ, but neither is cost. Looks like about 7.5. / 10 trophy potential, and maybe 5/10 price. Seems like a good compromise, and wife / kid and I’m could do Budapest and maybe Vienna...
Obviously back to to back up is the best plan… and are items we had in place and I confirmed what pilots were. Two GPS in reach. Local phone numbers given to parties at home with itinerary. And so on.
Was just thinking if an EMP shut everything down, or satellites take out, or every back...
Would be a tough call trying to decide when to pull the trigger on leaving your last known location. Nearest village for us would have been about 80 miles. Also be tough to decide what to pack and what to ditch.
So I was laying in bed last night with my second round of Covid and I got to thinking about my recent trip to Alaska. We flew in and were dropped off in early Sept. I got to thinking, what in the world would we do if all backup extraction plans failed, communication wasn’t answered, batteries...
