That would be awesome. Any info is great, we’ve hunted the jarbidge on the Nevada side a couple times and are assuming the terrain is similar to some areas we’ve hunted. We’re going in a couple capable trucks and a travel trailer but the snow/rain is still concerning due to us going in the last...
Hey folks I live in northern Idaho and I’m entertaining driving up to Canada to go fishing. Trout, pike, macs, or bulls I don’t care. Any advice on where to go?
My ol lady drew a solid deer tag in Idaho a couple years back and we were super stoked about it, guess which dip$h** forgot to pick the tag up before august first? DOH!
I don’t know who said it on here but someone put it perfectly.
Is the 6.5 creed a good elk caliber? Yes. Is it a good long range caliber? Yes. Is it a good long range elk caliber? NO!
Sorry to whoever said it first.
One thing that may have been said but I didn’t see is that the mentality of out hiking everyone doesn’t really work anymore. No matter how good of shape you are in there will be people in your same unit that would walk your feet into nubs. It’s important to hunt smart as much as it is to hunt...
I’m thinking about purchasing a suppressor for my 350 legend but want it to also be usable on a couple other rifles (7mm08 and 270wsm). Would it even be worth it because of the large difference in caliber?
thanks guys
Just picked up a 350 legend AR "pistol" a couple weeks ago, ballistics look good for what it is. Anyone ever shot an elk with it? I planned on using it with iron sights as a brush/under the seat in the pick up gun. Ive seen plenty of videos of deer being shot with it but am wondering about...
So I killed my Nevada bull with the 140 accubond at 199yds in 2018 and it performed perfectly, recovered both bullets on the far side shoulder under the skin. The reason I changed ammo/bullets was to do to ammo availability, deer season was coming up and I only had a handful of rounds left last...
So originally I was shooting the nosler ammo 140 grain accubond at about 3/4 to 1 1/4 inch groups and I bought some cheaper ammo, federal premium 130 grain trophy copper which improved my groups to 1/2 to 3/4 for a deer hunt last year. Is it worth it to change up to a 150 or 160 grain partition...
I have one that's about 5 years old, 270 wsm. The gun handles really well but to call it a featherweight is a stretch. Weighs in about nine and a half pounds all up. Off the shelf groups hovered around an inch, brought it to Kampfeld Customs and had it bedded, fluted, and cerakoted. Shoots well...
