Antler Darkening (opinions wanted)
Potassium permanganate has worked the best for me. I have used it quite a few times. The darker you want them the more coats you put on and if it is too dark steel wool removes it. One or two coats seems to work most of the time. It seems more forgiving than polish or stain. Oddly goes on...- MBN

I agree. I will continue to do both. Sheep have took a big hit here the last 2 springs, but there is still some around. -
