I’m never hopeful for myself. Everyone I help apply is way luckier than I am so I’m always more pumped for their results. I have yet to pull a tag in Idaho even with 6 years in the resident pool.
It’s the week us same 5 guys gather to complain about Idaho draws taking too long. Someone needs to tell us to quit whining though to complete the yearly saga.
In a lot of states they check everyone’s first choice first the 2nd and so on. So after your 1st choice your odds decrease dramatically. Not the case in every state but a lot of them are done this way and may be one of the reasons you didn’t draw any tags.
I’ll be shooting the 340 Hornady ELDx. 4 inches high at 100 gives me a point and shoot to 200 with 120 grs 777. That’s as far as I’ll shoot with my peep sight so that’s perfect for me.
