I have one in the new PR2 and so far so good but it certainly has not been tortured. It was really a price, weight and availability thing since I want to build two similar rifles. One for the NRL events in 6mm and a 223 trainer. Id love to have Nightforce or the new Maven but again weight...
Active Junkey has 8% cash back as of yesterday and it is usually 7%. I have not tested if it applies to firearms or not. Scheels will usually price match also with a simple online chat.
Amp Annealer for me. After I put together two tikka 223s chopped and threaded, UM scope mounts, a few Maven 1.2 scopes, a few Rokstocks, a 6UM………………………………………….. I think thats about it.
@Unknown Munitions is my go to no matter what. If they have it I shop there first. They give you a heads up by email and instagram when sales are coming and they do have them. They take care of their customers! They would not know me from Adam in a shopping mall but they know me as a customer...
It's probably a great rifle so I would get the one you prefer. After my customer service experience with Seekins I am a fan boy. If Seekins makes what I am looking for that is what I will get.
Factory PH with no muzzle device for my 6.5 PRC element is 2865 fps. That is using a Labradar and an average of about 20 rounds. I have approximately 100 rounds down the pipe.
I asked them about getting the chassis only at the Sheep Show in Reno. They said the response has been so good for the slam they do not see them going out for 18 months at a price point of $1800. We shall see.
I sent brass and projectiles in together. They will hone the stem to match your projectiles. I can not say if it made a difference or not but I figured I could not hurt. I do not have any seating marks on my projectiles. Hope that helps. I use the Ultramicrometer seaters.
I am running a suppressed Element in 7 PRC. I just sent my 300 down the road. For the distances you are talking about the 7 will do what you want in a more manageable package and hey this is Rockslide so more smaller is more better.
