It's crazy that you can start your application with zero points & have ~60% chance of success... then give them $100 more & your chances go to zero LOL
I know a guy who flipped a cigarette out of his truck on the way to fish & turned his fiberglass bass boat into a piece of charcoal. Had a camper top on his truck so he couldn't see it. Crazy stuff happens all the time just thankful no one was injured.
Under the "Items Held" it just shows the licenses I bought during the application process.
The elk & deer combo tags are shown under the "E Tags" tab which I downloaded
Never could log into the FWP website but on the app it shows successful for 2024.
General deer & elk combo... NR - 2 pts
I downloaded them quickly in case they change their mind LOL
Bass Pro/ Cabelas has them for $1,999 also. Sometimes they'll give you 10% off if you buy online & pick up in store so you might wanna check that. Plus you can get another 8% cash back from ActiveJunky.
I don't think anyone is suggesting actually checking that many people like in the example above. The discussion was originally about having an app or a phone # that everyone could self report easily in about 30 seconds.
I'm done with this conversation
I don't have all the answers to all hypotheticals but just throwing this example out there... you legally kill a bull, legally punch the tag but report that you did not kill anything. CPW does a check of the local taxidermy shop (normal for them to do this, at least here in NC) & cross...
Scenario 1: You kill a bull & tell a little old lady over the phone you didn't kill one & she checks a box.
Scenario 2: You kill a bull & on the mandatory reporting system you say you didn't kill one. The wildlife officer rolls in a week later & confirms that you actually did kill one. He then...
I disagree that it won't make a difference. Every detail of every tag issued is known by CPW. They could make it mandatory to report a kill within 24 hours. They could also require reporting "no kill" within 5 days of the end of the season for each tag you hold. Not reporting could result in...
I couldn't believe the difference in requirements for elk vs bear reporting. Yes, I know that it's a different species & all but they're way more serious about getting bear info than elk
