    If you stay with the detachable magazine, the rail is fantastic, switch to the BDL style bottom metal and it's a pain to load and unload. The Outer Impact fit great, no complaints. I ended up with the Burris split steel bases and Weaver style rings for ease of use.

    Is that gap as big as it looks on both sides? Could you measure the gap?.I generally see about .025" - .030" gap when installed and properly torqued.

    For the barrel vise, I use the drywall tape recommended here, never had anything slip since, including a stubborn X-Bolt barrel. I use the internal wrenches for the actions.
