I have one for inside my 4Runner to clear small trees on NFS roads. I didn’t like the idea of gas spilling inside so electric was a great add.

It has happened on most Hoyts I have owned. I just had it on my rx1 but Hoyt warranted it and shop replaced for zero out of pocket.
I also shot it for a year like that before I had them fixed. It isn’t going to break on you. They are durable.

Points matter more in some states than others. I have points in Wyoming (long term play when I can’t draw other states any longer) and Arizona (don’t plan to every draw but can’t unless you play).
I wish all states were like Idaho when it came to points.

No they are not all terrible but I seem to sleep easier than you and have many good sleeps on a variety of pads. I would recommend big agnes. My Big Agnes pad has treated me well for years. It is 3” think with a high r-value.

I spent two days this past weekend driving roads in Montana I haven’t been down before to see 1. Road condition to determine access and 2. To see new areas I haven’t been to before.
