Honestly, unless you are reaching out 1000 yards, either is overkill if all you are going to do is hunt deer. I have a 300wm and it is a beast(and I love it!). I bought it primarily for elk and have shot deer with it, but if you are strictly deer hunting and keeping shots less than 4 or 500...
I like the look of the gunsmith adapter. I just use the standard one. I gotta say, it's one of the most stable I have used and love how I can just pop it on the rifle when I need it. Honestly can't help the OP much but you might look at the gunsmith adapter as has been mentioned.
Yeah, packs are such an individual thing. Had a couple of Eberlestocks and didn't like them. Tried the KUIU packs and the fit me well, so have been using those for the last 10 years. Ive tried on some of the Kifaru packs and they are nice. Heavy, but nice. Just keep trying. Used is a good...
Use a shot trainer too, just a long pc of string in a loop that approximates your draw length. Just practice with that too and work on rolling to the click, then executing the shot. I will admit I blow through the click sometimes as well.
DOn't think I have seen a show since season 1, but do enjoy the podcasts, except Steven tends to talk over everyone. They have some good guests. I like the trivia and Reeves podcasts as well. I spend a lot of time in the car and need something to break up the boredom. Never had any First Lite...
No
Nope, didn't draw. Ive thought about a cow since I hunt CO a lot but would be fun to have a bull from Oklahoma. Had a buddy that had a cow tag years ago. Said they were hard to find.... Good luck!
Can't believe I missed this thread....Hmmm. As an Ok resident since 1994, I have put in religiously for the elk tag since then. I think I must have missed a few years as I now "only" have 28 pp. Crazily, I didn't realize that for elk, non residents could apply. I knew they could for deer...
I would like to replace the scope at some point. It's an old Vortex Razor LH. Super light and have had no issues with it at all, and it fit the budget at the time.
I went 300wm over 300prc as I got mine during the pandemic and 300wm was more available. I reload and just wanted cases and couldn't find any and loaded 300prc was a non entity in our area. Good luck with whatever you pick up. Just be patient and don't jump at the first deal (and save your...
That guide doesn't matter. it's a nice to have, but in the end as long as the arrow is on the launcher arm on a properly set up bow, it will fall into the groove. Not only nock pinch but make sure all your nock tensions are similar. Number your arrows and see if it is the same one or maybe a...
Sell a kidney, do what you have to. You won't be disappointed. FInd some junk in the garage to sell on marketplace, something. :) I did see one in our gun shop used the other day for around $1500 with Seekins rings. Soooo tempting, but it was in 6.5cm. Actually that wouldn't have deterred me...
I have a pelican m700 and an SKB. Really can't go wrong with either. My SKB does have a small crack in it, but i think its 15 years old. I only bought the pelican because my most recent bow was too long for the SKB. FWIW, if you are a veteran pelican gives you a 10% discount if you buy direct.
