I was packed in this week in a remote part of Wyoming and had 4 in the gun, a spare mag of 3 and an extra 4 so 11 rounds total and that seems pretty reasonable and that’s my usual round count for back country pack in hunts.

The Colorado people I have spoken to that support this and voted for the wolf reintroduction have no idea about the nuances and most are receptive when you make a reasonable argument why it’s not a good idea.
Most are voting with their hearts and not basing the decision on reason.
I use the iodine a lot and have never had any issues. I filter and use iodine which I know is redundant but I don’t want to take any risks with getting sick when I’m way in the gnar. No side effects in probably 30 years of using iodine pretty regularly.

Give the Smartwool boxers a shot. Ive had really good luck with no bunching and they don’t get clammy. Plus they are on sale pretty regularly for around 15 bucks.
I tried some Lululemon and wanted to like them but if you’re doing multi day trips I didn’t find they worked as well…I’ll leave it...
Lots of great ideas presented already. A good book that will get you through your trip is huge. Either Kindle or old school pages helps fall asleep or pass a day rained or snowed in the tent or down time during the day…Michener’s Centennial or any of Allan Eckert’s books are recommended.
