Then I applaud you for your solution on lobbying for a change in that. I’m willing to bet that it isn’t considered “corrupt” enough for anyone at a federal level to get involved with. I don’t recall it being addressed in any of the presidential debates this year…
Some are whining and will do nothing to further it and some will. Lobby. Write letters. If it changes then so be it. I just truly believe that as far as state “corruption” goes across all 50 this has to be pretty far down the list…
In the meantime…
I think the issue is that your access isn’t limited, just the ability to harvest a resource managed and owned by the state. I don’t view it as corruption or abuse but I am definitely looking at it as a resident who doesn’t interfere in the affairs of other states. Maybe I enjoy my bubble. Idk...
I bet you would.
I’m not the one whining or trying to influence what occurs in other states where I’m not a tax paying resident. Therefore I’m not the crybaby. I live here for the hunting. Plain and simple. If others want that they should make the same sacrifices I did. Misery loves company.
Took 12 pages for the Wyoming being a “welfare state” to rear its ugly head. Just isn’t the case and that per capita number is greatly influenced by a single factor that anyone who knows the state would easily recognize but that doesn’t help the argument against Wyoming, does it?
And you’re welcome to come here and use the wilderness. Hell, I’ll even meet you at the trail head and we can catch a lot of Brook Trout and see some cool stuff, you just can’t elk or deer hunt there. Do I benefit from that? Heck ya. As I’ve said in every dumpster fire thread about this topic...
I bet the number of your dollars that comes to Wyoming is less than 10 a year. You can break that down based on your income and let me know if I’m close. I’ll send a check and reimburse you.
I enjoy following the laws set forth by the states that I don’t reside in therefore negating my ability to have an opinion or infringe on the tax payers in that state that elect the officials that make those laws. In other words I don’t try to change things in a state where I have no right to...
Yes…so corrupt to limit the activities one can do on 5 percent of the states public land. This should really rally people to the cause. If this is corruption let’s triage it with the corruption that blatantly occurs outside of this minor inconvenience…I’m guessing it would be pretty far down the...
That’s been talked about in the countless threads just like this one before; befriend a WY resident instead of antagonizing them but some people would rather bitch about something that will never affect them because they can’t physically get into the WY wilderness anyway.
I’ve been a high level competitive cyclist most of my life and wear a chest sensor monitor daily. I can tell you the Garmin Instinct is NOT an accurate measure of your HR as a wrist mounted device. Way off.
Maybe the Apple is a better option.
This is what I’d recommend also and depending on your financial situation, Africa is the best way to get a lot of trigger time. Realistically you could get several opportunities a day and you don’t have to shoot expensive stuff. Impala aren’t crazy expensive.
