The 109s shoot lights out for me out of my 6GT. They didn’t shoot good at first but you need to jump them. I called Hornady and they said to try 30-40 thou off and then they shot great.
Absolutely hilarious. In Idaho this year we saw some “Hunt your own state” hats with the state of Idaho on them and my buddy had to buy them while we put a beat down in deer and elk as out of staters 😂. It’s funny people complaining that people are hunting their state. If I don’t come someone...
I just bought a 1:8 D-18 Tikka 243. I will probably push the throat out a touch to optimize for 109s. Since I don’t mind longer ish barrels the 22” fluted and threaded barrel is perfect for me and should get me my target velocity of 3000. I was thinking about all sorts of options but I’m so...
Have a new tikka 243 on the way and have been thinking about having a smith run another reamer through it to 243AI or 6mm-284 but based on the numbers the 243 seems to have plenty of velocity out to 750-800 yard and I can’t really kill em any more dead. I’m going to start with just the regular...
Why eat the tag though? If you shoot that deer who won’t ever be any bigger then you make room for another deer in the herd.
I guess you could figure maybe someone else may shoot him and you are saving a young deer they would have shot but that’s hopeful.
Either way, if the deer isn’t bigger...
I think you experience is aligned to what I said about score not really changing but mass will. Yeah in the desert I'd say you have bigger fluctuations year to year than in MT.
I don't even hunt Wyoming :ROFLMAO: I have no skin in the game. Once again just created the poll because I have heard the idea thrown around and wanted data to see where people stood on it.
To claim I don't care about my fellow Americans, their hunt quality(in their own state or elsewhere)...
If WY residents want that then they can do that. They will probably lose a pile of revenue and need to find a way to make up for that but I’m not going to ever complain about how a state chooses to allocate its tags so long as it doesn’t create some sort of outfitter welfare system or feudal...
No, powers not given to the federal government are left to the state, per the US constitution. Wildlife is “owned” by the state no matter what land it stands on. The wildlife is held in public trust for the benefit of the residents.
With what you said you open the door for private landowners to...
Well the yes votes are stacking upand nobody has yet admitted to being a WY resident to vote no…. But I see a lot of pissed off WY residents in the comments 🤣. Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
Just observations here
