Leather belt recommendation for daily use and concealed carry?

Hanks and mapul are good options. I have a filson that is great. my favorite belts are actually full grain leather made by an Amish guy in PA. I bought a pair for $22 each and they are over 10 years old.

The best vest-less system for turkey hunting (imo)

Not really much of a turkey hunter. I run a cabelas vest sometimes and sometime I just run a day pack. I take it off and put it in front of me when I set up.

Pants discussion (Timberline, Attack, De Havilland)

I have been a long time attack fan. Stroll prefer them over FL and Sitka for fit and function. I just bought my first pair of Kutana. Same basic design but a lighter fabric. I think these will be my go to from now on.

    Iron Will Broadheads

I bought some. Haven’t used them in the field enough to say for sure if they work but I suspect they will do the job. They fly a bit different than my go to muzzy trocars.

    Gear Storage Inside or Outside

north east PA here. Most of my gear lives in totes year round in my basement. the stuff I keep in my garage doesOK. With our temps, we can get enough heat to cause long term issues with fabrics delaminating and bow limbs and such. Freezing can also be an issue for some things. The...

Vest wearers - if you only had one, what would it be?

In 2022 I would have said something like Patagonia nano puff. Today I would say Sitka ambient or similar Alpha insulation vest Much better active layer.

    Advice for mounting NX8 2.5-20 F1on a 300 Win Mag

FWIW, I went with a rial. have NF medium rings on a mountain tactical rail on my tikka. It adds a few ounces but I wanted to have more flexibility to find the right eye relief Than direct mount rings offered.

Why do we buy soft shells?

hmmmmm. they have there place IMO. i concede the argument against them is compelling And when I am counting ounces, mine rarely make the cut. They are the classic Jack of all trades, master of none. Not waterproof, not super breathable, not that warm, somewhat heavy. However, I think you...

    Sighting in a .22

Agree with 50. Think about 25 or so if you really want to be precise with close in shots on pests or small critters (head shots on squirrels). with a 50 yard zero you will have 3-7 inches of bullet drop at 100. If you do a lot of shooting at that range, then you will need to dial or work...

    Mike Tyson VS Jake Paul

Not a fan of Jake Paul, but I have to concede that he can box fairly well and he is a big guy. Been a Tyson fan for a long time. He has earned the right to do stupid stunts but I don’t like to see this. Prime Tyson would smash this guy. Late 50s Tyson is taking a chance that he gets...

    Molle Marsupial Bino Pouch

@TandKHunting what does the back of that bino pouch look like? ie, are there molle pals slots on the back to mount it? @Crews I run a blue force gear older molle minus rack. I looked high and low a few years ago and there weren’t a lot of options for a bino pouch that mounted via mollle...

    Gov. K. Hochul (d - NY)

I think she is just trying to tone down the optics. Last time they had the bag check / stop and frisk thing going in the subways it was a flash point. There was some decent evidence that people of color were having a harder time with the searchers than others. They were also picking up a...

    Gov. K. Hochul (d - NY)

News flash. There have been NG troops in the transit system for years. used to walk past them on the regular in Grand Central. They wear body army and carry pistols. It’s also not uncommon to see NYPD SWAT and non-SWAT officers with long guns in and around the subways and the city...

    Underwood 44 magnum for bear

Protection. Primarily black bears. I hunt a couple of areas with black bears that are known to sit up on gut piles and unattended kills. Sadly I don’t spend enough time in places with brown bears, but I am working on changing that.

    Underwood 44 magnum for bear

It’s on order so I haven’t fired it yet, technically. I shot a friend‘s. fired a box of 44 specials that were fine. Spicy magnums were not “fun”. My best comparison is an air weight 642 with +P ammo - manageable, but not pleasant and a few dozen rounds are even to beat up your hand...

    Underwood 44 magnum for bear

what flavor of underwood do you prefer for bear protection medicine? I am more of a 10mm guy but I have added a couple of 44 mags to the line up. I wanted to add a couple boxes of underwood to the stash in case I get the itch to tote a wheel gun on some future adventure. 4 inch 329 PD if...
