I understand if you have had issues with them, I guess I feel like as a hunter you should have the choice. That was the my main reason I started this thread I just didn't state it correctly above.
No I live here and use fixed but in colorado, where i am from i used them all the time and liked them a lot. Not that I don't like fixed blades but it is one of those things where i feel like the hunter should be able to choose.
Anyone think Idaho will get with the times and allow mechanical heads on big game? I can't find any recent articles on the subject, so I thought I'd see if someone had heard any other news? Also, this is not a bash mechanical thread. If you do not like them please keep your opinions to yourself...
I have been hunting the same elk unit for two years. First year did not see a darn thing, second year saw a nice 6x6 on private land and that is it. Unfortunately I do not get to hunt as much as I would like but after looking at the harvest reports for the past two year there are about 275...
I got one for you guys cause I am an idiot. I put some outserts on a deep impact and before I glued them I dry fit everything but now i can't get one of them off. Any idea's? I was thinking about trying to heat it up and pull it off.
What is the general consensus on factory strings ie zebra stings, fuse things like that? My local archery shop only orders zebra and fuse cause they are a mathews and hoyt dealer but you can order your own and take them to them. Just curious to what everyone thinks?
Ok next question would you go with a 250 or 300 spine? I shoot a mathews chill x 29.5 draw 70 lbs. arrows cut at 28.5 half out is 51 grains 125 grain tip 10 grain nock and 3 aae max stealth.
Just curious if anyone has had any experience with these things? I like that they have a normal insert and they GPI is at a solid number IMO. I know people have stated that the FMJ's bend but I just wanted to see if that is a select few or if it happens to a lot of people? Or should I just stick...
Just curious if there are any other arrows like the black eagle spartans? Having an arrow that is over $12 an arrow is a little steep for me. I think this is the way I want to go but was hoping for something a little cheaper.
Last questions if you do buy axis's and do a hit system are you supposed to shoot your field points with the BAR's? Obviously without having a footer on the arrow.
Interesting Trial153, I have never looked at those before I'll have to check them out. I love the rampages I have now but have noticed some durability issues with the halfouts.
