Change your offset to -2 at 100 and it’ll work great. Essentially you’re telling the app what you would need to adjust on the scope to be Zeroed. It’s backwards from other ballistic programs but works great once you get it entered correctly.
Keep you eye out for a used 8x32 Swaro EL in your price range. It'll likely need to be a first generation EL but they're amazing optics for the size and weight.
The Maven B3 8x30 for $500 is great.
I bought used 8x32 EL's and they can't be beat for the price but they're still pushing $1k. Conquest HD 8x32 are also very well reviewed.
NovaGrade Double gripper has been my favorite of all the different adapters I've tried. The locking collet tightens up so tight you never have to worry about the adapter moving on your scope. It's a little big and heavy but I carry it everywhere.
The Burris Fullfield Series already recommended are VERY good scopes for the money and most of them have a BDC style reticle that will easily adapt to your muzzy.
I have some 10x32 EL that I'll probably offload to get the 8.5x42. They've always intrigued me as the perfect all around bino that would give me just a little more performance than my 8x32 that I currently use as my primary bino.
I would much rather glass with binos but can spend hours behind my spotting scope. A wide angle lens on a top tier spotter makes long glassing sessions much easier, but having stereovision in a binocular is definitely easier on your eyes and mind.
Novagrade Double Gripper is my go to. The newer Phoneskopes are better than the old ones but I prefer the collet style grip of the Novagrade over a press fit of the Phoneskope.
2400 ABS is the single greatest purchase I’ve made for hunting. I’ve seen many one shot kills out to 1125 including two coyotes at 600 and 820 that I NEVER kill without a rangefinder that provides an instant solution.
It can take a while to acclimate with temperature but you can just plug in...
My wife has shown interest in hunting but doesn’t actually hunt. She quickly learned that my optics were leaps and bounds better than anything she had used previously. She now has a pair of first gen 10x32 EL that I got for a great deal in the local classifieds.
