Have you considered renting? You can have alpha glass for your hunt while spending much less than mid tier pricing.

I tape mine all the time. If you go to the 3 minute mark you can see how much crap got down in my muzzleloader barrel when I neglected to tape the brake back up. That brake is extra large and a worst case scenario but it shows what can happen. On a centerfire rifle I could have cleared all...
I rolled my EL's down a hill and busted up both ocular lenses. I shipped them in, got a quote for repair, and had them back in a timely manner. Total cost for the repair was around $120 if I remember right.
I don't expect free repairs unless it's clearly a manufacturers defect. Once it's...
S3 is a great scope but lacking in technology. 15 MOA turrets and no zero stop make them less desirable for some people.
If you hunt with one, make sure you use a scope coat or other cover to keep the turrets from spinning. Glass and tracking are excellent for the money and the MOA2 reticle...
I hauled out all of camp plus half a boned out mule deer inside the bag. The side pockets held my tripod and some clothes, the bottom of the main bag had my sleeping stuff and Sawtooth shelter, middle of the bag had food, cooking stuff, and the remaining clothes and the meat dropped in perfect...
I load my muzzy at home and tape off the muzzle brake to keep the bore sealed. When I'm in the field I place my priming module in the rifle when I'm ready to shoot or if I am still hunting through the trees.
I felt the same way too until I got my Kilo2400. I have now killed animals I 100% would not have been able to shoot if I had to run my data through the phone. The phone system works just fine, it just is nowhere near as fast.
I will never go back to a system that can't do it all in one. My Kilo2400 has helped me kill multiple animals that I would never have been able to kill if I needed to run a solver as a separate step.
While I like having my solver built in to the actual range finder, I would be just as happy...
If you've been following along with @Travis Bertrand thread on Arrowhead muzzleloaders then you know just how awesome they are. Here's the story of my hunt with my muzzleloader that I built using Arrowhead components.

I agree that an 8x magnification range is going to limit performance somewhere else. I want to try one of these in person but my guess is I'll end up going with something else.
Last week I had my 8x32 EL and 15x56 SLC deer hunting. I find I prefer the 8x for most glassing when deer are active but like the 15x when the action slows down.
I personally love my 8x32 and doubt I’ll ever get rid of them unless it’s to try a 8.5x42.
Glad it helped you out. The first time it happened to me I was using a rifle that was sighted in 3” high at 100 and my drops at 500 were off by a lot. Once I changed the input to the negative number it lined up perfect
