Who will shoot a cow elk this year?

Depending on what happens with CO next year, I may try to get a ES tag to increase my chances of not coming home empty handed.

Are Talley rings a reliable choice?

They don't make them for Model 70's, so I'm stuck with Talleys for those. Never had an issue yet though in about a decade of use.

Minimum optics for CO rifle elk

That was the other option I've been considering heavily.

Minimum optics for CO rifle elk

I currently only have a pair of 10x42 vortex diamondbacks which have always been great. I've been thinking about getting a pair of higher power, higher end binos for both spotting for various tactical matches and also glassing for western hunts. Lots of guys saying 15x-18x on tripod is the way...

My gear/pack layout from base layers to binos

Is there a use case for a heavy wool anorak, like the bushcraft style ones made from blankets? I got one for just basic outdoor stuff and I'm wondering if it fits into an oct/nov elk hunting arsenal. @Formidilosus

    Suppressor Weight Gain

In on this. Never planned on cleaning my cans but I have quite a few rounds on my nomad ti now including a season of prs and various other tactical matches. I started noticing lots of carbon chunks falling out, mostly accumulating from shooting staball in my 6cm match rifle. I think I'm going to...

6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

Does anybody have experience with the ABLR's at extended distances? I only have experience with them under 200 yards so far, where they worked well. I'm guessing they act more traditionally wound wise once they are slowed down some?

    Colorado Left Over Tags

I was in the que but in the 6 minutes total it took them to let me in, the single tag left I wanted was gone.

I mean like getting into your shooting position, whatever that may be. I could see how having everything setup currectly could be just as consistent, like once you slide down to the right spot you are in the correct relief location. I'm still interested, need to do more research on availability.

I'd like to based on all the other aspects of it, but to spend 5-600 dollars to try something with such a strange feature that doesn't make sense to me is a little offputting.

Because I tried discussing that same topic and got my head bit off. Edit: I don't think he was asking me a question, was he? And to get things back on topic, my concern is that trying to stay in the eyebox is going to be harder when you now have a sliding up and down aspect (At an angle) in...

Definitely read it. I've just never seen such hostility allowed on a forum in like 13 years and a dozen different forums. I'll continue to lurk around here but asking questions is obviously frowned upon and people are so quick to not try to help. Anyways I don't want to clutter up this thread...
