Very well made and sturdy. Shocking how heavy they are. I got the bunk bed style to save floor space in our Big Horn 3. But, they are overkill for most applications and a pain to put together.
Guessing they decided not to remain as a Rokslide sponsor after how their initial thread went. Robby probably let them out and deleted the thread as a courtesy.
I would never go back to a tarp/bivy setup. I typically carry my Zpacks Triplex. Tons of space and at 24oz, weighs less than most bivy/tarp setups. I often hunt wi5 my daughter, so I like having the extra space. If I only hunted alone, I would get the Soloplex from Zpacks. Full coverage tent for...
Not to mention that when the Constitution was written, civilians owned canons and warships. The framers of the Constitution had every opportunity to draw that line.
Is that to say that these bags (assuming they will eventually be sold separate from the frame) will fit on an existing integrated frame? I.e., will I be able to get a custom Gila bag in this new fabric that will fit on my current frame?
In the spirit of constructive criticism, here are some thoughts on the pack, based on what I’ve seen in your video and website.
Detachable small pack - Remove this and just make it an add on option if someone wants to order it. Would reduce the weight and cost on something most would never use...
I don't know what you were expecting. Most of the comments say something along the lines of "Looks good. Would love to try it out." Nobody is going on like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally.
Oh Brad! Your life is about to change. But, you're going to need to call in sick to work the rest of this week to catch up.

Welcome to Rokslide. The pack looks well built. I like the quick release strap. The video says the weight is 5lb 11oz. However, above it says 4lb 13oz as does the website. Is the video incorrect?
Agree. I'd try and get all the way to Weatherford. Nice small town with decent lodging and restaurants. Then you don't have to worry about DFW traffic when you head out the next day.
The Copper Spur is a great tent. The UL1 is a bit tight, but not bad. The UL2 is certainly more spacious, and heavier. Unless you expect to be waiting out a lot of storms or really spending a lot of time in it besides sleeping, I would go with the UL1.
Although once I got my Zpacks Triplex, I...
I typically go to Yellowstone twice a year. September is my favorite time to go. The crowds thin out and the weather is great. Grand Prismatic Spring and Artist Point are worth dealing with the crowds. I would skip Old Faithful. That area has just turned into an outlet mall over the years and...
Agreed. My 3500 is my go to size. I can get a week out of it. I have a 4800 that I almost never use. I also have a 6400. I only use that when I am winter camping with my daughters and need to carry a 6 person tipi and lots of extra gear. It all depends on your gear though. There are ton of guys...
