Yes, after that it seems cases are to work hardened to resize again but need to get some measurements.

I’m running an 18” rechambered tikka barrel also. Peterson does have less capacity. With Hornady brass, 80gr eldms and 43.5gr of h1000 I can get 4 firings out of it at 3070fps With peterson lrp, 80gr eldms and 42.5gr of h1000 I can get 2 firings out of it at 3040fps With Alpha srp, 80gr eldms...

    Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

Just when I thought the wallet was going to be released from the ICU this thread appears and gets me thinking about the polymer lower and bushmaster pencil 5.56 bbl in the closet. Very cool builds, not a straight pull ar but still pretty light bolt rifle I saw released for 2024 to add in the mix.

    20” Long Action Talk

For shots 300 and under I would just leave it as a 18-20” 270win and save money for components. 130s or 150s will be good for that distance easily. I have a 16” 30-06 that very nice with a variety of loads from 124-220gr and probably one of the most versatile cartridges there is. Theres also...

That’s why I’m running the 80gr eldm pretty high bc for the weight that helps reduce wind drift. I shoot out to 1300yards with them. 400yds and in though the 69gr tmk makes sense especially with pdogs.

Going to give the 95gr SMK’s a try when the bbl comes in. I have 1600 of them and ordered a Bartlein gain twist yesterday. .219 5R 1-7.5 to 1-6.8”. Ordered a 27” 2b blank but will probably cut it to 18-20” only planning on running them 2800-2900 to keep the rpm’s down. They said late summer...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

I know some ranchers and farmers that do that on purpose but I’m not for it. I’ve seen the damage heavily populated areas can do to crops and I understand the resentment from them. I generally don’t like discussing ethics on forums but if we do have a wounded hog I do my best to track them down...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Have a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 for over 10 years or more probably and I have another SIII 6-24x50 that’s a little newer with the better target turrets. Bought both used for a good price. I’ve never put them through a thorough evaluation like form does. But I’ve been very happy with them overall...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

    I’ve hunted hogs on my place with a 26” 223, 16” 223rem, 16” 5.56 ar, 18” 22creed, 16” 243win, 18” 6.5creed, 12.5” 6.5grendel ar, 16” 30-06 and several more. I have the same thoughts. The 223rem with 80eldms are great if I have a vantage point/field and room for follow up shots but there is def...

I use h-1000 with 80gr eld-ms but primal rights load data shows to be 41.8gr h4350 with 80gr bergers, alpha ocd brass, cci 200, coal 2.605” for 3450fps out af a 26” bbl

    22 Creedmoor is here…

80gr Eldm has been good on hogs, deer, and coyotes so far out of an 18” creed and a 16” 223. The 80gr eldx should be even better

    The 22UM

Are yal planning to just switching bushings in a 6UM die for now? I have a spare tikka magnum action in the safe. Also bought a $260 witt machine 22cal can on sale with this or a 22/270imp in mind. That way I could run a 16” and not lose to much if the can gets destroyed from a bullet coming...

I’ve got a 6.5creed, a 6creed, a 243win, and the 22creed. I would easily choose the 22creed over the rest for a light and short suppressed hunting rifle.
