Pretty sure my Super Start Platinum AGMs on my Deisel are just about done. Made it a little less than 4 years. But my truck has been mostly sitting the last 3 years, I started and drove it once a week.
Peterson brass has less capacity so data is going to be slightly different. But I agree the differences with rl26 and superformance seem vastly different with the 75gr.
Maybe just the difference between barrel bore diamters .218vs.219, freebore difference, different powder lots, difference...
Just called WTO they answered on the first ring.
Asked about the 25-7prc but they said Clayton was out shooting at the moment and he has all that data on it.
Here’s the number

That’s with Peterson brass With Hornady or alpha they run 3070 it’s only a 100fps diff. But give the creed a 20” Bbl and it becomes 2930fps vs 3250fps.
Guys that have shot out multiple 22br barrels in prs running them with 88s & 90s seem to pull them around 3k but they’re still shooting though...

I agree my next creed barrel will be around 20”. It had me thinking the other day shooting the 80s out of my 18” 22creed at 3050 vs 2930 out of my 20” 22arc. 800 vs 3500rd barrel life.
Like you I have smaller 22cal hunting rifles so it makes more sense to go 20” with the creed, I’ll still be...
This was the worst part I could find about 1.5” past the throat. Reamed out factory blued tikka barrel. 450rounds, 400 of those being h1000 & 80gr eldms and the rest with varget and 62s&69s.
223rem 16” 2650fps/Varget 24gr
22ARC 20” 2930fps/Varget 28.5gr
Both mild loads.
With the 22arc I was at 3020fps with varget and tested a Hornady case that easily got 10xs. This is seated deep in the case at 2.235 coal to fit in an AR mag length in a ruger bolt gun. And looking at Hornady’s bolt...

I’d see how they shoot after barrel breaks in. I’ve switched almost everything to the 80elds. For your purposes they have almost the same drops and retained velocitys out to 600 and the 80s at 600 have a tad less wind drift with more energy. I’d go with which one shoots best and if they both end...
That’s pretty much the same reason I got mine. So I didn’t burn up my 22CM before hunting season. I’ve had the ruger for almost a month and put close to 500 rounds through it.
Sounds like your on the right track of thinking.
At 500 yards 10mph from 3cl wind drift is 1.3” or .2moa difference. Not even 1click/.25moa
Regarding fire formed brass, Il go into more detail. I also get great accuracy from certain factory ammos and while forming virgin brass with handloads...
I’m no expert so take this as opinion. Plain and simple it raises your hit percentage slightly all things being equal. The further the distance the more obvious it becomes.
A little less wind drift along with less drop which gives you more room for error ranging animals on flat terrain or in...
Just necked down a pc of Hornady 6.5 Grendel in one step, Neck thickness is .0155”
Hornady 22arc neck thickness is .0135”
Formed it in my rifle then resized it and shot again with no issues. But other chambers may have less clearance.
Neck on a loaded factory 22arc round is .248”
With the 6.5...
I’m not sure. I would try it and see if I could but I only have a FL die for my 6.5 Grendel.
But from looking at the Sammi drawings I don’t see an issue unless the necks came out to thick.
I need to neck down a pc of Grendel brass and see what the neck thickness ends up at

Post velocities if you get one please. I’ve been wanting to switch out my 6.5 Grendel barrel also.
I’ve been comparing the 80gr elds in my 223,22arc,and 22CM. Aside from bolt face the arc has a lot going for it.
If your a reloader you can go 22br it’s pretty much the same performance on a .473 bolt
I know a guy in South Texas who guided thermal/NV Nilgai night hunts for years. He was showing me all his night rigs one day and I asked him what his favorite one was for him and his clients to use.
He picked up a 300blk out bolt gun 16”
I was a little surprised. No telling how many they...
