Sleeping pads & wide or regular

I'm a big fan of the wider sleeping pads. Easier to stay on if you move a lot during the night.

    Wyoming Spring Bear Quota Check

Headed to Wyoming for a bear hunt and am trying to figure out a good way to check the quota daily. Any suggestions? I think cell service will be very spotty.

    DCF tape

You have to slice into it with something super sharp and then try to get a little wrinkle in it to peel it back. It's pretty difficult and you have to sacrifice a half an inch.

Seek Outside Silverton 2300 internal sheet daypack

This summer is what we are thinking. No pannel loader for the flight. The Upgrades will be mostly upgrading the fit, materials and making it adjustable.

    Seek DCF

It is very different in freestanding tents compared to something like a hilleberg, like roosiebull said. I will say here at Seek we are experimenting with silpoly. We just released a DST in Silpoly and may make it an option for smaller shelters as it does have some benefits especially for 3...

4 person tipis for solo hunt

Weight is all relative... If you have been carrying around a 7 lb. two person halfdome, the Cimarron and stove is actually saving weight...

Durable and quiet fabric for jacket

Polar-tec Neo shell is actually about as quiet as it gets for a "waterproof material" Its not fleece but its similar noise wise to most DWR stuff but is actually waterproof.

    Lumbar pad foam

To add some of the softer lumbar pad foam you can also use a big kitchen sponge. I put one in my seek lumbar pad. Works pretty well.

KUIU Guide Pro vs All Season Jacket

I have been wearing a Guide DCS for 4 years. I don't know if there is a better soft shell. The pro is probably great as well. For the majority of rain and snow you don't even need a rain jacket unless you are going to be in the wet for hours on end. The DWR coating is as good as it gets. It says...

Seek Outside Redcliff vs 8 man Tipi

Sil Nylon Gets the job done. Dyneema is like a Ferrari... Its awesome but once you get onto a dirt road it has some limitations lol.

    Seek DCF

To be honest with you, if you are on a budget, the sil nylon is the way to go. Dyneema wears out a little quicker.

    Seek Outside DCF Available Again

Top one is Dyneema Redcliff rolled up. They pack up pretty similarly when you roll them, but if you stuff Dyneema it will be much more bulky.
